Confirmed by the director (Syamsul Yusof) that there will be the third installment of Munafik, but yet to be stated either the third film will be the sequel or prequel to the Munafik series.

The director of Munafik 2, Syamsul Yusof had to drop his idea of filming KL Gangster 3 as his 10th movie and instead opted to make the sequel to Munafik 1 due to audience's positive reviews and demands towards the predecessor.
