Due to the SAG-AFTRA voice-over strike, Ashly Burch was unable to provide the voice for Chloe, however she was a consultant for the game. While Nathan Prescott will also appear in this game, Nik Shriner was also unable to take part due to the strike.
Just like the first season of Life is Strange does, the car licenses make reference to pop-culture series, books and films. Frank's license is a reference to Breaking Bad, while a car in the parking lot of Blackwell spells Katniss, main character from The Hunger Games saga.
The voice actor for Chloe Price, Rhianna DeVries, performed the motion capture as well as voice acting for Life is Strange: Before the Storm (2017).
After being initially absent from the game due to the SAG-AFTRA strike, Ashly Burch was able to reprise her character Chloe for the bonus episode "Farewell".
The band that Chloe wants to see in the first chapter, Firewalk, is fictional. Welsh punk rock band Pretty Vicious provided their song "Are You Ready For Me" for the concert scene near the beginning. Firewalk is a reference to Twin Peaks: Os Últimos Dias de Laura Palmer (1992).
