The Pretenders’ Chrissie Hynde has announced a new duets album entitled Duets Special, arriving October 17th via Rhino.

The album sees Hynde performing a selection of covers and standards alongside a star-studded cast of fellow rock/pop vocalists including Rufus Wainwright, who sings with Hynde on the lead single — a take on the classic ballad “Always on My Mind.” Their world-class pipes shine over the moody and minimal instrumentation, with the rest of the album sharing this stripped-down vibe.

It was a conversation with Rufus Wainwright’s husband, Jörn, that inspired Hynde to collaborate with Rufus and eventually craft an entire album of duets.

Nichols recently shared joyous news on Instagram in the form of a montage video of his daughter’s wedding, set to the classic Elvis Presley tune, Can’t Help Falling in Love. He captioned it, “A sweet, magical day as my daughter Dylan married this good man, Alex. Pouring their hearts out in the presence of family and friends created a beautiful, loving atmosphere felt by all.

The 32-year-old The Bachelor alum, who appeared on season 21 of the show, tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend Tyler Fernandez on Saturday (April 26).

In a recent interview, she gave details about their unique ceremony.

“Tyler‘s family loves Vegas and I never wanted a big wedding so I just wanted to elope and do something fun and wild. My mom also got married at the Little White Chapel and that was her only marriage that lasted, so I am just trying to keep the tradition alive in the family,” she told People.

The wedding also included two Vegas showgirls, a magician, and was officiated by an Elvis Presley impersonator who sang “Can’t Help Falling in Love” while she walked down the aisle.

Pia has regularly been performing on tour with David and Katharine, most recently hitting the stage with them at the Hollywood Bowl for David‘s 75th birthday concert.

“They are so dear to us, and had it not been for David, I would’ve never met Carmen,” Pia told Brides. “Both he and Katharine are a big part of our story.”

Australian pop star Kylie Minogue has announced her North American tour dates.

Minogue’s 2025 concerts will begin on February 15 at the Rac Arena in her homeland Australia. She will continue to make stops in places like Japan and Thailand (among others) until the international leg concludes in the Philippines on March 17.

The North American leg of the tour, set to kick off on March 29 at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, will see Minogue make stops in cities across the continent, with shows in Chicago, Washington D.C., Orlando, Vancouver, New York and more. The tour is fixed to conclude in Los Angeles on May 2 at Crypto.com Arena.

After two years of marriage, former WWE wrestler Nikki Garcia has filed for divorce from her husband Artem Chigvintsev, and seeks full legal and physical custody of their four-year-old son, Matteo.

The court documents were filed in Napa Valley, California, on Wednesday and Garcia cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for divorce. She also requested that spousal support for both parties be terminated and that Chigvintsev have visitation rights.

Chigvintsev was arrested two weeks ago at home on charges of corporal injury to spouse. Although neither Chigvintzev nor Garcia has addressed the arrest, Garcia is assumed to be the spouse in question. Chigvintzev was released on $25,000 bail.

Kylie Minogue has kicked off her Las Vegas residency at the new venue Voltaire and the set list is packed with her hits!

The 55-year-old Australian singer opened the new 1,000 person nightlife concept at at Venetian Las Vegas on Friday night (November 3) and she’s currently scheduled to perform 19 more shows at the venue throughout the end of 2023 and beginning of 2024.

The theatrical experience begins at 9:30pm, though Kylie‘s set doesn’t begin until about 11:00pm. Her 75-minute concert features 19 songs from her five-decade career.

“It’s hedonism, escapism, joy, rapture, all those things that you want in a show,” she told Variety ahead of opening night.

This time with an assortment of crop tops she interchanges throughout the video. And with some musical numbers we have heard before.

What is clear is that Britney Spears must have an entire closet of crop tops. Between past Instagram dance workouts and this video, she has advertised at least over a half dozen of them.

In the Instagram video, she is seen dancing in white/gray colored workout shorts, and as the video changes music, so do her crop tops.

The first song is S.O.S by Indila and for that portion, she is rocking a bright red crop top. The second track is Britney’s song Get Naked, and for that popping track, she has a yellow-laced crop top that matches her hair.

In 1960’s Psycho, Alfred Hitchcock dramatized a murder using 78 camera setups and 52 cuts. 62 years later the Australian director Baz Luhrmann employed the same techniques to tell the story of Elvis. Hitchcock’s harrowing shower scene lasts all of 45 seconds yet it still resonates—Luhrmann’s movie runs 159 minutes and for some in the audience, it may begin to fade before they hit the exit.

For better and for worse, Elvis moves like a bullet train. Thanks to the convulsive editing of Matt Villa and Jonathan Redmond, the movie’s imagery—an onslaught of high energy jolts delivered in bite sized pieces—can dazzle the senses. And at nearly three hours it can dull them too. Still, the breakneck...

Few filmmakers embrace artistic dichotomy like Baz Luhrmann. The Australian writer-director known for epic, ornate, long-gestating projects has become synonymous with both extravagant innovation and chaotic fluff. He is a walking, talking, directing state of creative contrast. “Six films into his career” might make it seem like he’s a relative newcomer, but Luhrmann’s been helming giant features since his 1996 tropical Ed Hardy rendition of Romeo + Juliet, which pales in scintillation to Elvis.

The King’s first big-screen biopic (no disrespect to John Carpenter and Kurt Russell’s 1979 TV movie) begins with a decadent gold, silver, crystal, and ruby rhinestone Warner Bros. logo bursting into frame. It garnered enough compulsory hoots and hollers in my screening to invade any Elvis skeptic with fear of future fondness. In one sense the logo is a tiny thing to note; in another it’s a perfect encapsulation of Luhrmann’s approach: extra.

While most of us were staying home the past few months binge-watching new TV shows or baking bread, Mexican singer-songwriter Sofía Reyes has been hard at work, recording not one but two new songs: "Cuando Estás Tu," which she released back in June, and her latest single, "Échalo Pa'Ca." To celebrate her new music, we chatted with Sofía about recording the tracks, the last piece of advice that changed her life, and more!

What was the last day recording "Échalo Pa'Ca" like?

I mean, recording the song took a couple months because I was waiting for Lalo [Ebratt] and Darell to record their vocals, and I couldn't be more excited!

The inaugural champs of “The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart” recorded an entire album, “Chris & Bri,” in quarantine and dropped it Monday night after the finale on their website.

“Somehow, we made an album. In two months, in different states recording, in different studios, writing everything through FaceTime,” Bri told “Entertainment Tonight” (watch below). “It was insane. I was able to come to L.A. for two weekends before the lockdown happened and then the rest was finished through FaceTime, and it was just insane.”

The final four couples headed to Las Vegas for the semifinals on “The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart.” It was time to ratchet up the sin in sin city, and this quartet didn’t disappoint, for better or worse.

After two weeks of killer performances, Natascha and Ryan were probably doomed the second their date took place at a “trashing plant,” where they squashed large pieces of metal. Who comes up with these date ideas? Natascha moved in on poor Ryan, stating, “We have a good thing going.” A great tee-up for their disastrous performance.

Singing “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran and Beyoncé, Natascha looked nervous and messed up when she handed Ryan the mic while he was still strumming his guitar. And she forgot her lyrics. Oy. Cutie pie Ryan can sing through a tornado and he knows how to play, and despite her confusion, he didn’t miss a beat.

Viva Las Vegas! The four remaining couples hit the road in the semifinals of “The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart.”

At the mansion, four large tour buses greeted the couples, who basked in the excitement of leaving town for the first time and having the chance to ride in style. The fact that each couple had ample alone time for fun, intimacy and connection was definitely a plus. Bri and Chris, the season’s genuine lovebirds and understated frontrunners, took cute photos while sharing a few tunes. Jamie and Trevor, continuing to grow deeper week after week, did the same. Trevor notably revealed “nothing good can come from being emotionally safe,” an admission that would carry much weight later in the episode.

However, things weren’t as bright for Rudi and Matt, who seemed to be emotionally at odds. Matt acknowledged his hope of finding a life partner, but...

“The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart” was inspired by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper‘s performance of “Shallow” at the Oscars. After four episodes, we’ll finally hear the song on the show. Props for the restraint.

One of the four remaining couples will perform the Oscar-winning ballad on Monday’s semifinals. Make your guesses now as to who it’d be. Bri and Chris‘ off-the-charts chemistry could give Gaga and BCoop’s a run for its money, but an Elvis Presley tune is also on the docket, so they could easily get assigned “Can’t Help Falling in Love” — especially since the Las Vegas-set episode features the pair serenading a newly married couple at A Little White Wedding Chapel with Ben E. King‘s “Stand By Me.”

Ed Sheeran and Beyonce‘s’ “Perfect” and a Lady Antebellum song will also be performed.

Monday’s episode of “The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart” dropped a bombshell (literally and figuratively) as 33-year-old pop singer Natascha of Los Angeles threatened to shake up the budding romance between Jamie and Trevor, who are quickly becoming the season’s unofficial star couple.

The first date card of the night went to Jamie, who whisked Trevor away to Venice Beach, Calif., joining forces to sing Little Big Town‘s “Girl Crush” which drew a few curious bystanders. During their date, Natascha introduced herself at the mansion, bringing a heavy dose of intimidation with her. Having been told “Trevor from ‘American Idol’” was part of the group, she proceeded to spill the tea that she is a friend of Trevor’s ex Sierra, who broke up with him a year and a half ago due to his alleged indiscretions.

When Jamie and Trevor returned to the mansion, it was time for the truth.

Moments after returning to “Mister Robinson’s Neighborhood,” Saturday Night Live host Eddie Murphy slipped back into Buckwheat’s suspenders, reprising that beloved role more than four decades after he last assumed the part.

In the 2019-set sketch, the Little Rascals character was a contestant on The Masked Singer, dressed as Corn on the Cob. Alas, after just a few bars of “Pawnin in Nub” (“Can’t Help Falling in Love”), he was correctly identified by judge Robin Thicke (Beck Bennett).

Like Baz Luhrmann’s groundbreaking 2001 romantic-tragedy movie before it, Moulin Rouge! The Musical is a poptastic spectacle with a grab bag of famous pop songs.

For the stage production, music supervisor, arranger, and orchestrator Justin Levine expanded its sonic landscape, using more than 70 pop songs (credited to 161 writers) in the construction of the score, which includes Karen Olivo singing Katy Perry’s “Firework” and Aaron Tveit singing “Roxanne,” by the Police.

The Grammys took a fairly expansive sweep with this morning’s nominations for Best Musical Theater Album, The Motown sound, Rodgers & Hammerstein, the folk-rock music of Anaïs Mitchell, the reworked radio hits of Moulin Rouge! and Imogen Heap’s Harry Potter musical suites were all represented.

But four of the five nominations did not include composers, since the music was not original to the cast albums. In the case of several, the musical numbers consist largely of oldies, some reworked for contemporary settings. Anaïs Mitchell’s previous concept album for Hadestown was already Grammy-nominated upon its release in 2010.

On Thursday night, the Second Act star shared an Instagram video of her 10-year-old daughter Emme perched on a chair alongside Alex Rodriguez's two daughters, Natasha, 14, and Ella, 10. With a ukulele in hand, Natasha provided the musical accompaniment as all three ladies belted out "Can't Help Falling in Love" in unison. Talk about adorable! Crazy Rich Asians is one of the best rom-coms of the Summer, so it's only fitting that the soundtrack is filled with tons of love songs. While there are quite a few bops in the movie, one of the sweetest tracks has to be the one that plays during Colin and Araminta's wedding in Singapore. As Araminta walks down the aisle, a beautiful cover of Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling in Love" by singer Kina Grannis plays in the background. The quietly stunning song strikes the perfect, understated contrast to the outrageously luxurious nuptials of the two characters, and is enough to make you teary eyed.

The 36-year-old singer took to Twitter on Monday to share a silly snap of herself and one of her sons after getting locked out of her home while taking her dog for a walk. Unlike us, however, Spears was promptly rescued by her security team.

Inspired by Madonna's soulful "Toxic" tribute on Friday, the pop superstar kicked off her birthday by belting out the first few lines of Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling in Love" at her home in Thousand Oaks, California. While showing off her trademark pipes, Spears wore her long blonde locks in a chic topknot that complemented her backless lace mini dress. She shared the 360-degree singing clip Saturday night, adding that she felt very moved by Madonna's words.

"I was really inspired yesterday by @madonna's post," wrote the "Piece of Me" performer. "She's right… silence = death! These words really struck with me, because they are so true."

The Grammy winner continued, noting that the circular solo performance has been something she's "always wanted to do."
