Direction:

Umesh Shukla got fame with the success of Oh My God but he failed to carry the momentum in his next outing All is well. This time, he back with another comedy drama based on Gujarati play. If you have two legends and great script , you have to just go with the flow as a director. Great inclusion of Comedy and serious moments with wonderful message about life.

Script:

Saumya Joshi's witty writing add more fun and entertainment in fathers-son story without any female character. Dialogue was so funny and witty that you will laugh through out the movie. One dialogue between legends e.g. "Bachche jab kharab nikal jaye to uska keval bachpan hi yaad rakhna chahiye".

Performance:

Rishi Kapoor has done brilliant job in the role of Babu however Big B has proved again why he called as Godfather of Bollywood. Jimit Trivedi was also good in supporting role of Dhiru. There was no female character however you will never realize this through out the movie.

Music:

Salim-Sulaiman's music was good as it has some good songs. Arijit Singh sing "Bachche ki jaan" and Sonu Nigam sing "Kulfi" perfectly. Amitabh Bachchan has compose Badumbaaa song which sing by Bachchan sahab and Rishi Kapoor.

Box-office:

This movie is made of moderate budget of 6.5 crores and Opening day collection is around 3.5 crores. It means it will be profitable affair after weekend itself. Life time collection will be around 30 crores.

Last Word:

Some movie stay with the audience after the long time.Surely this movie is one of them.

A lovely movie, great acting by all 3 characters. The movie maintains a feel good tone throughout. A great mixture of comedy, drama.

A great quote by Amitabh, "I never died not even once". The movie re-emphasizes this quote and oh so beautifully.

Definitely recommended a must watch

First of all, Amitabh Bachchan & Rishi Kapoor congratulations to both of you and secondly, you both have done a great contribution and justice on your roles and it's really fun watching you both in this fantastic movie. Your actings were superb. I liked the concept and the script. The idea behind the movie was very well explained and presented brilliantly. In the movie, Amitabh Bachchan completed his century and got out for 102 but Rishi Kapoor has only got 25 short to his maiden century in this movie (102 Not Out Part 1) but hope he can still make his century in their upcoming102 Not Out in part 2 and then could have a chance to fulfill his caring dad (Amitabh Bachchan) wish by breaking the world record holder of 118 years old Omchang Tong from China. What you think Rishi Jee, are you gonna make this happen and do this for your beloved dad - Amitabh?

This is a comedy based on a Gujrati play. A 102 year old guy and his 75 year old son live in their ancestral home in Ville Parle in Mumbai. The father is a happy go lucky type of person whereas his son is a rigid, stuck up kind of a person who has a fixed daily routine, going to the doctor daily, etc. One day the father tells him that he is shifting the son to a old age home because he wants to beat the record of the longest living person and needs to be surrounded by happy people, which his son is not. If he does not want to go to the old age home, he has to perform certain tasks. In this way he wants to teach his son to enjoy life, be independent and live a long life, like him.

The director gets everything right from the get go. From the liver spots on the father's face to the finale where the son breaks away from his son's hold. The script is fantastic, the pacing of the movie is good and they don't go over the top ever. The performances by all three characters are excellent.

The Indian concept of family first is challenged here. You as a individual need to enjoy your own life without depending on anyone for that enjoyment. This applies not only to the older folks but to everyone.

Two Master Performers Amitabh Bachchan & Rishi Kapoor, Pull off an awe-inspiring saga of A Father & Son Relationship in a extremely beautiful way.. They not only entertain the viewer but also teach. And they teach and not preach. The importance of Happiness, The joy of free living and that Mischief is ageless and must continue till we breathe.. And as Amitabh Bachchan says in a dialogue.. "Jab tak Zinda ho, Tab tak marna nahi!" (Don't Die, Till You Die) And so is the movie.. So Very Full Of Life! Love, Laughter, Emotion and a Sweet Message.. Don't hold back, Go watch it!
