A brilliant one woman show!

Dawn French - what a treat she presents in this show about her life from childhood to adulthood. She unabashedly gives a comedic and emotional stand-up show based on the stages of life as she perceived them across her journey as child, teen, wife, mother, etc.

Her performance is captivating, insightful, funny, emotional and never once does she become repetitive or boring. If the viewer doesn't leave this performance with a greater self view of ones personal life then that person didn't listen to Dawn French speak about life and how it is lived!!

Bravo Ms French!! This show is a brilliant force and you did bloody well!!!

Dawn can do no wrong!

She's just the Jack of all trades- writer, actress, comedian, even stand-up comedian. A treasure to entertainment. Thank you, Dawn French!

And this serves as another entry to my Joan journal, because there's a part in this where Dawn is talking about how she wanted to be a bridesmaid for her Aunt Joan, but Aunt Joan had other plans. But, as she mentioned, fast forward a few years later and she did get to be a bridesmaid another time, when my other love Miranda Hart cast her and Jennifer Saunders as bridesmaids for a real wedding that Miranda was tasked to organize for Comic Relief. So, from Miranda to joan, everything came full circle for me with my two loves mentioned within minutes of each other.

This is just as much a philosophical questionnaire on life as it is a one woman comedy show. I'm very impressed!

Inspirational

What a wonderful woman Dawn French is! This candid, raw, emotional and appropriately funny, in a sense, biography, of hers is a fine testament of her good nature and down-to-earth character.

Throughout her one woman show she reminded me that it doesn't do to dwell on silly things that I can't change, my body shape for example. Also she made me stop and really think about all the great things I have in my life to be happy about, and not to focus too heavily on the bad parts.

Thank you Dawn for inviting us in to your life and showing us a better way.

I need everything to just stop, and then I can catch up. So I flick a switch, you all just stop like that, frozen in time, whilst I just go about my business, reading what I've got to read, writing what I've got to write, and doing all my thinking, both important and daydreaming. I'll have a little kip, I'll kiss my dog full-on the lips, all the really crucial stuff, do all of that, really catch up, then I'll flip the switch again, and I'll get back into the slipstream of time along with the rest of you.
