Debutante Director Gopi Nayinar narrates an episode in the life of a young and idealistic collector Mathivathani (an excellent Nayantara) who has to deal with a crisis situation involving a kid trapped in a deep bore well.

It is pertinent tale for our turbid times steeped in growing inequalities and institutional apathy especially when dealing with those unfortunate to dwell at the bottom of the pyramid.

The movie's main strength is its leading lady played by Nayantara who brings an earnest approach to her role. The director is successful in creating an authentic milieu and relatable supporting cast which engages us. On the downside, it gets tedious when it is overtly melodramatic and downright preachy.

Yet, the sincerity in effort to stand out from the crowd and succeeding to a large extent in flagging issues which are largely ignored or dumbed down by mainstream cinema is appreciable.

Expressed the reality of Disaster situation in real. Must watch and ensure your family is safe in all situations. Do not feed media, Politicians and officers.

A brilliant film in this decade. Best story and way of telling too

I signed up just to review this title. Watched this movie on a television channel, and completely amazed by this masterpiece. I was at the edge of the seat throughout the second half, long since i have seen such a movie which made me fully involved. Hats off to the director! And Nayanthara's acting was truly amazing. A social problem very well dealt.

Having watched several 100s of Indian , English and European language movies, i understand what I' am saying - This is a hidden gem and a must watch!!

This movie has done justice. Story revolves around the little girl falls into a deep borewell .How government will give support to save the child. What happens if the goverment failed to save the child.

In this movie, Nayanthara has done a perfect role as a collector.How she manages all kind of responsibilities to save the child even if the politics has interrupted and public has not give proper support.

This is a very natural movie. Every scene is realisitic until the movie is completed. Background music and songs are perfectly done based on emotions and scenes.

If you are looking for moral message not for entertaining movie, you will like this movie. This movie gives very good message if you want to give awareness to the society.

Thanks to the strong script and screenplay, it keptit so much engagint all through the 2 hrs. Couldn't believe Mijur Gopi is debu director, the way he had handled multi variables in this complex equation and at the end eventually solving it gracefully with a stylish climax. Every aspect of human emotions was dealt carefully, and the movie had gripping moments too. Nayantara indeed did justice to her role.Amazing 2 hrs for sure will leave a mark in your heart and minds.

Aramm ,directed by Gopi Nainar with Nayanthara is about a rescue mission by a Collector to save a kid who accidentally fell and trapped in a bore-well.The movie started off with Nayanthara as Madhivadhani IAS being interrogated by her superior officer.Right from there,statements were made on the socio-political scenario in India.The politicians who never show any consideration for those who voted for them was seen all over the movie.Her conflicts between those who rule made her to take decision on her career,while the Superior Officer had to take some stern actions on how she worked during the emergency situation,under political influences.



When Dhanishka,the daughter of Yugendran and Sumathi lived in a Village,where water valued more than anything.The scarcity of water made the Villagers to raise protest against the government.During one hot day,Dhanishka got trapped into a bore-well.The movie focuses on the a developing India,where achievements in Science and Technology makes everyone proud in one side while,there are no necessary devices to do rescue services in such cases.When surplus amount of money is spend on Rocket launching and all,no care is given to these issues.Though the statement looks negative with political considerations from the film maker,attempts were there to explain the situations as a talk-show in a news channel.The movie then focus on the risky rescue attempts under the supervision of the Collector.They failed at times,never had the villagers believe them.But Madhivadhani was confident abou saving the life Dhanishka. Dramatic incidents lead to the actions towards the climax.



Finalizando:Aramm describes the 2 faces of social conditions in India and from the climax,one could doubt that a sequel is on the cards.Aramm is a good attempt to show off the inequalities in a society which promises equality for all.Moreover,the movie rather than the initial parts narrated the horror without much compromises that were seen in a normal Tamil movie.After his allegations on a story theft of the Kaththi movieGopi Nainar made a brave attempt to make one in a big canvas.Go for it!!

The movie was good. Everybody acted very well in the Movie especially Nayantara. This is one of the best movie of Nayantara. Songs were worst but the BGM in the movie was good. The story was excellent but the movie lagged a lot. 1st half in the movie was good and very interesting but the 2nd half in the movie was slightly boring, lagged and not much interesting as it deals with the same problem throughout the movie.

What a contrast in India and Bharat! Well defined story and great thinking behind the direction and screenplay. Must watch

This actress and the movie must awarded in best. Hats off to the director! And Nayanthara's acting was truly amazing. A social problem very well dealt.

I literally Cried. Sad Reality. The film tells the mistakes of the government and politicians. Fantastic movie that brings tears. Everyone has acted well. The background music is awesome.

As Nayanthara is My Fav. Actress I was excited to watch this movie But after seeing the movie I want to say that the movie is extremely boring and over dramatic. Supporting cast did too much overacting in whole movie which was cringe to watch , Only Nayanthara and some Officers did decent job. Plot was new But The Execution was simply routine flat story which has no thrill .
