The movie was good. Songs and BGM were also good. Comedy in the movie was also very good. RJ Balaji comedy was very good in the movie. Everyone acted very well in the movie. But the movie can be more interesting.
Devi/Abhinetri/Tutak Tutak Tutiya (2016): Prabhu Deva is not only a choreographer,he is also famous for his notable roles he done in Tamil and Telugu films. The body language, dance treat, spontaneous gestures and natural comedy of Prabhu Deva received huge fan following. But he became busy directing in Bollywood so he took almost a 10 year gap for his reentry as an actor with Devi(L).So how is this movie?
Plot: Krishna (Prabhudeva) dreams of marrying a posh girl who speaks good English but due to circumstances he is forced to marry Devi (Tamannah), a village girl Once the husband and wife settle in an apartment which is far-off to the main city, he notices that Devi starts behaving like a completely new person. It is later revealed that she is possessed by another girl named Ruby who died in the apartment. That girl's ambition is to become a film star and this new Devi meets movie superstar Raaj Khanna (Sonu Sood) who signs her and also falls in love with her. What happens then?
Plus Points:
1)Performances: Devi entirely belongs to Prabhu Deva and Tamannah.Prabhu Deva, who is back in front of the camera after more than a decade has lost none of his spontaneity and comic timing.Tamannaah plays two different characters with effortless ease transforming from a timid, insecure and unloved housewife to a bold and sexy, much-desired starlet out to conquer the world. RJ Balaji's comedy is good.Murali Sharma once again shined in a hilarious role.Sonu Sood is okay.
2)Music: Music is brilliant.Almost all the songs are catchy.Chall Maar and Mokka Mokka songs re brilliant.
3)Few scenes: Movie has entertaining scenes at few parts. We will never get bored in this movie except first 30 Min's.
4)Duration: Movie is just 2hr 3 min long which is the major plus point for this movie.
Minus Points:
1)Highly predictable: Movie has a very simple plot and screenplay. There are no surprises at any part of the movie.
2)First 30 Min's: After Chall Maar song, movie is outright silly for 20 Min's.Entire village episode is so boring and unnecessarily dragged.
So,Devi(L) is a passable entertainer with nice performances and brilliant music.A One Time Watch
My rating 6/10

After 12 years, Prabhu Deva made a comeback as an actor in Tamil industry, under the direction of AL Vijay who gave extraordinary movies recently.
With horror-comedy and horror-thriller becoming very common, director opted for all-in-all comedy genre with the element of ghost. Tough returning after a dozen of years, the body language, dance treat, spontaneous gestures and natural comedy of Prabhu Deva remains. The movie couldn't be funnier without him. On the other hand, Tamannah proved herself as a great performer with a dual dimension character. She also deserves credit for being equally competent with the dance steps of Prabhu Deva. RJ Balaji as usual pulled few fast ones in his own mannerism, with limited screen space.
Being a trilingual movie, the casting comprises of all industries. Cameo of Naser, Sathish and cameo song by Amy Jackson is just to add the star value. Music by Sajid Wajid and Vishal Mishra is enjoyable with Chaa Maar being outstanding, yet with more Bollywood touch.
AL Vijay who proved himself in his recent movies, once again excelled in direction and screenplay. Hollywood fame Paul Aaron's assistance in the script is an added advantage. With a laughing riot all the way, exciting climax and a touching ending completes the movie.
Final Verdict : Return of Prabhu Deva with good performance of Tamannah. A good laughing therapy and a dance feast for all types of audiences.

Devi is about a a guy Krishna (Prabhu Deva) who works in Mumbai and wants to marry an ultra modern girl. However when his grandmother gets sick his father calls him back to the village. There they meet a village girl Devi (Tamannaah Bhatia) who Krishna's dad arranges a marriage with, so that Krishna can get married before his grandmothers time is up.
They get married and head back to Mumbai where Krishna tries to get rid of her and send her back to the village. However it all changes when she gets possessed by the ghost of Ruby an aspiring actress who had committed suicide and who wants to now use Devi's body to star in a film.
Devi has a pretty good storyline, it's not something to write home about but it's quite decent and it does it's job, especially when paired with some great on screen performances. The movie has both comedy and horror as well as a solid underlying story; in the form of seeing poor Krishna trying to deal with his possessed wife while also falling in love with her (Devi not Ruby!). This combined with the dual nature of Devi/Ruby and how it's all juggled on screen form the core of the movie. All in all I enjoyed the story, though Krishna should have been a bit smarter and gone to a temple for a Brahman or something rather then play along with Ruby and her desires.
Onto the acting, well what can I say. Prabhu Deva plays Krishna and does an amazing job at it, from cool dude to distraught newly wed to slowly caring husband over time. He brings his character to life on screen and will have you rooting for him throughout the movie.
Tamannaah who plays Devi/Ruby does a really amazing job. She is playing two vastly different characters and makes each feel like their own unique person on screen. From sweet, caring and beautiful Devi to arrogant, hot and modern Ruby. She is truly one of the most important characters in the film and Tamannaah does a brilliant job at showcasing each character.
Last but not least we have Sonu Sood who plays the movie star Raj who falls in love with Ruby while acting with her in his film. Great job by him in his supporting role.
Song and music wise Devi is no slouch either, with 2 really good songs that I enjoyed. The other songs while not my favourites will definitely appeal to others.
To round it all up Devi has a good story, it's interesting and funny and I for one did definitely enjoy it. The acting and casting is superb, seriously I can't picture anyone else but Prabhu Deva, Tamannaah and Sonu Sood in these roles. The music was great and I am now listening to it as I write this review.
Anyway all in all I give the movie a solid 8/10. If you're a Prabhu Deva or Tamannaah fan I definitely recommend watching it, if not I still recommend giving it a go xD.
