Freefall

The film is about two men. One, Ivan, is becoming weakened by ALS. The other, Lucas, is caring for him. We see stresses of the relationship surface as Ivan loses ground, and Lucas vows to stay with him.

The reasons behind the stresses and tensions become clear during the course of the film. In a latter part of the film, the two talk about the nature and meaning of experiences in life, and the the fuller story comes to light in a very touching and moving scene about human relationship.

The movie is very, very well acted. And it's beautifully photographed.

For me, the one downside was that some of the dialog is whispered, and I found it tough to hear/understand every word. But the story is powerful.

For so many virtues, beautiful. But especially for delicate - precise reflection of fundamental truths. A young man, affected by ALS , is helped, supportred, assisted, consolated, intense loved by his boyfriend. Before, the intention of partner to end the relation. But the motif to remain is less compassion - it can be perceived just as egocentric one . And this is the essence of many relation in which the other is , years, months, near the suffering beloved one - the past and the talks about it as compensation for bitter present, the old stories as seeds of hope.

In short, profound beautiful short film.
