- Jaime Lannister: [softly] You would have.
- [Tyrion shakes his head, on the verge of tears]
- Tyrion Lannister: You were the only one... who didn't treat me like a monster. You were all I had.
- [the brothers embrace as Tyrion cries]
- Jaime Lannister: Your queen will execute you for this?
- Tyrion Lannister: Tens of thousands of innocent lives, one not particularly innocent dwarf. Seems like a fair trade.
- Lord Varys: They say every time a Targaryen is born, the gods toss a coin and the world holds its breath.
- Daenerys Targaryen: [referring to Sansa] She betrayed your trust. She killed Varys as much as I did. It was a victory for her. Now she knows what will happen when people hear the truth about you. Far more people in Westeros love you than me. I don't have love here. I only have fear.
- Jon Snow: I love you. You will always be my Queen.
- [Daenerys comes up close]
- Daenerys Targaryen: Is that all I am to you? Your Queen?
- Sandor 'The Hound' Clegane: [to Arya] Go home, girl. The fire will get her. Or the Dothraki. Maybe the dragon will eat her. Either way, it's over for her.
- Tyrion Lannister: There's something you need to know.
- Daenerys Targaryen: Someone has betrayed me.
- Tyrion Lannister: Yes.
- Daenerys Targaryen: Jon Snow.
- [Tyrion shakes his head]
- Tyrion Lannister: Varys.
- Tyrion Lannister: He knows the truth about Jon.
- Tyrion Lannister: He does.
- Daenerys Targaryen: Because you told him. You learned from Sansa. And she learned from Jon. Even though I begged him not to tell her. As I said: he betrayed me.
- Tyrion Lannister: I'm glad Sansa told me. I'm the Hand. I need to be aware of any threats you're facing.
- Daenerys Targaryen: And Varys?
- Tyrion Lannister: Your Master of Whisperers should be aware too.
- Daenerys Targaryen: You spoke to him first... without telling me. Without asking my permission.
- Tyrion Lannister: It was a mistake.
- Daenerys Targaryen: Why do you think Sansa told you? What do you think she had to gain?
- Tyrion Lannister: She trusts me.
- Daenerys Targaryen: She trusts...? She *trusted* you to spread secrets that could destroy your own Queen.
- [Daenerys shakes her head]
- Daenerys Targaryen: And you did not let her down.
- Tyrion Lannister: If I have failed you, my Queen, forgive me. Our intentions were good. We wanted what you want, a better world for all of us. Varys as much as anyone. Though it doesn't matter now.
- Daenerys Targaryen: No. It doesn't matter.
- [Daenerys turns her back on Tyrion and continues looking forlornly out the window]
- Lord Varys: [to his child spy] What have I told you, Martha?
- Martha: The greater the risk, the greater the reward.
- Lord Varys: [nods] Go on. They'll be missing you in the kitchen.
