Sword Art Online Abridged

Sword art online abridged takes the dry and long buildup of the original and makes the content related and also how they dont change the main keys of the story, but include their own bits plus comedy which is what won me over after I saw the first episode. This parody took the bland disappointment of the original and turns it into a better show, with characters with actual depth, a likable and interesting protagonist and amazing humor that isn't just picking on the bad parts of SAO. It feels like it's own original show, as if it's just SAO but better. If you were a fan of the original, you'll love this and even if you didn't like the original, you'd still love this. It's free on YouTube and I can't recommend enough that you should check out this amazing parody and support the creators.

Everything about this show is done extremely well. The voice acting is great. The story is great. All the characters are well-written. It is consistently funny. I have no complaints for this show. I would highly recommend it. Do not watch the original version, because it is extremely poorly written. This version is a masterpiece and I love it.

I actually enjoyed the original series, but this absolutely surpasses it. Jokes aren't over done, the voice acting is consistently amazing and I love hearing actors from Yugioh and Dragonball abridged popping in too. I'd honestly put this as the best anime abridged I've seen.

I couldn't stand the original SAO... but this parody has let me enjoy the core story of SAO without insulting my intelligence. SAO: Abridged is incredibly well written, and gives the beautiful artwork of the original respectable dialogue and character building aspect. Hilarious, witty, and surprisingly heart touching; this is SAO if it were actually good. "It's the SAO we need... and the SAO we all deserve..."
