It's good if you give it a chance

"Ex-Aid" is one of those seasons where you have to understand it from a stand-point. This is a Kamen Rider season made for a whole new audience than initially intended back in 1971. Rider fans of the Shōwa-era are going to find this garbage, but listen from a neutral source right here.

I enjoy Ex-Aid for what it is. Much like Gaim making fruits marvelous, it does the same for chibi avatars in Ex-Aid. Its story is as basic as it can be, make sure the civilians are safe from the antagonist and defeat them. Ex-Aid uses the advantage of the current CGI tactics to get away with some scenes, and for the most part, it is decent. True that Ex-Aid should have used more practical tokusatsu techniques, but given its theme, you can't really blame it.

The designs are either a hit-or-miss. Either you like it, or you don't. I will admit, it threw me off initially, but it has grown on me, and the Level 1 suits are generally cute. The only major flaw in the series is being too flashy and bright in its special effects. By episode 5, you'd wish they could tone it down a whole lot.

All in all, it's pretty decent. Ignore the designs and stick to the plot. You have just a decent or good time.

Awful suits, great storyline

One of my favorite seasons. She manages to mix a history of medicine and video games incredibly well. She is a series that knows very well how to introduce new riders without getting tired. If you like Kamen Rider and video games, just watch it.

Kamen Rider Zeztz is in good hands

If this series is of any indication. Why, you might ask? Well, because it seems the writer of the new Kamen Rider season is a huge fanboy of the best tokusatsu writer of all times Toshiki Inoue, of which the second half of this series tries to be a continous, heartfelt homage spanning from the very beginning of the maestro's own career (the piano scene taken from one of the episodes of Choushinsei Flashman) passing though Changerion and all the Kamen Riders of the Maestro and including some scenes that look like they were taken straight out of Inoue's own animes. Homage that doesn't turn into a 100% clone or ripoff because Yuya Takahashi in this one gave his own personal spin (there is no love triangle to speak of here) but, interestingly enough, the moments where it hits harder are the ones more close to the poetic sensibilities of the Maestro. I genuinely find funny that a Dragon Ball animator (whose Dragon Ball output I don't care, not for him but because I don't care of neither Super nor Daima) who was at his debut as the main writer here and who also put some slight nods at DBZ at the end of the series not only did not turn a tokusatsu into a shitty Dragon Ball spinoff the way the terrible Kamen Rider OOO by the presumed tokusatsu veteran Yasuzo Kobayashi and the most recent No. 1 Sentai Gozyuger episodes did but also he did a better job at mimicking Inoue than what the people under the direction of his own daughter Akiko is doing in said episodes, which is totally absurd. This series also had already some elements reminescent of Paprika by Satoshi Kon (the inspiration for Zezt, if you haven't gotten the memo) and some KM Black throwbacks, which is also a nice touch. This makes me hopeful for the upcoming series, I must say.

This Series is A Masterpiece

In my own opinion I really enjoy the show despite its my second favorite Kamen Rider of all time and also despite the direction that it have taken were the story was heading to but including the my favorite suits in the show though they do look funny. The plot of the series is having doctors who become a Kamen Rider to save patients lives is interesting enough for me able to understand a simple story. I wish Ex-aid would have a couple more episodes but we have gotten 45 but not only that the extra like the movies which were fun to watch and enjoy with my experience.

I already missed watching it

When I was getting into Kamen Rider and look at Ex-aid for the first time, I thought it looks weird because of the suits but it grew on me (same with the opening). The characters are good, the story is great, the writing is good and the acting was weak at first but got better as the show progressed. It's one of those shows were I wish it last longer and since it's 45 episodes I did wish it was longer. Overall, great show, fun to watch and worth trying out.

Started Strong, Ended in Endless Infighting

The game started with a unique and engaging theme, capturing attention with its potential. However, it quickly lost focus. The original theme faded, leaving behind just ordinary battles. The drama lacked substance, and the sense of a national-level crisis completely disappeared. Political, military, and law enforcement elements were nowhere to be found, making the world feel unrealistic and shallow. The story became a cycle of repetitive conflicts, with no real growth or tension. Ultimately, the game lost its seriousness and emotional depth, making it difficult to stay invested or entertained. What started with promise ended in frustration.

Great

One of my favorite Kamen rider series of all time. I wouldn't say it's the best but it has great character development and plot twists.

Watch it, its peak

Is it your traditional Kamen rider in terms of suits? No, but is it a refreshing change? Absolutely.

It took awhile for me to get used to them but there's a certain charm to the over-the-top suits and I think that this show would of not have been as successful without these over-the-top suits.

The characters are all fun and well developed. Sure, some characters die and get revived, but this does not diminish their impact or make them less likable! I'm glad that they are all alive. It's a happy rider show with terrific fight scenes, effects, and likable characters.

Also, Dan Kuroto is the best villain in Rider, SHIN DAN KUROTO.

Great season and story

This season...........It has great storyline. Great characters and cast. Many people complain about the suits but I guess the suits go perfectly with the game motif.

PERFECT SEASON FOR WATCHING

I just love it. The songs are great. It's great to see how they give the actual game vibes like the coins, boosts and the writings 'GREAT' or 'MISS' or 'PERFECT' or 'GAME OVER'. The story is great. It starts.of as a light and funny season ( I bet no other season will make anyone laugh this much) and then turns deadly serious with the comedy still maintaining.

One major character development is emu. He starts off as a character who trips over nothing literally every 30 seconds. But with time this frequency decreases but still he is a funny character. Each character get their focus and with time grow a will to save others.

Another example is poppy. At the beginning, she stars off as a bubbly heroine with a human disguise self as asuna. She didn't affect much of the plot of the 1st arc but turned to be one of the most important character near the end.

Then the creative thought of putting game and doctor motif together. In game, life can be continued right after death. But real world us different. One death means it's end of normal life. But doctors try their best and in most cases help prevent death as much as possible. So now they're fighting computer virus kinda like the way they fight real life viruses.

With 45 episodes, this is the shortest of all neo heisei seasons but the best to begin with.
