"The perfect day," an incredibly imperfect movie

A 4 year old movie with a whopping 99 ratings. Rougly 70% gave it 3 or lower. 41% gave it a 1. Me too.

Rarely do I feel compelled to review a movie I don't see to the very end. But this movie was so bad, in every area, writing, directing, casting, acting.....and with todays public awareness about violence, racial inequities, this movie was also socially blind and deal. I confess. I stomached nearly an hour, but then it was just too horrible. Fingernails on a blackboard, or watching a kitten walk into traffic horrible to watch.

So I'm breaking my rule, in hopes of saving a few readers 94 minutes, I promise you'll wish you could retrieve. If you start thinking "it can't be this bad", or "it has to get better"....it is and it won't.

Should Have Been Better!

It was easy to see from the beginning that the low budget was going to cost this film major points. The storyline led to what should have been a good movie as well, but the slow pace, lack of character building and scrambled story just made it hard to follow or root for anyone. I just kept waiting for the story to start! The plot is plausible and the characters are believable but it just feels like the movie has no heart. I see a couple of reviews talking about racism, but they're obviously watching some other movie because there isn't any in this one. It's just missing charisma. I really wanted to like this movie, but I just didn't.

An average mystery film but unbearably slow at times

This would be a very good mystery about uncovering a suspected terrorist plot, but it drags at times AND lacks action. The mystery story is interesting but following the story is like watching paint dry. Actually the acting is not bad but there is nothing exciting about this film. Racism ? I didn't see it. Excitement ? Didn't see that either.

I thought this was a joke until, I actually took time out of my day to try and watch this. Fast forwarding through almost to the end. The opening, WEIRD. The message WEIRD. The acting AWFUL, just awful. Except the terriost, he was great. Weak storyline, poorly written, poorly edited, lacks direction, no character development and just misses all together. I get it everyone's reaching for that star, this falls immensely short. What's the deal with your real wife in the background of the scene with I guess was suppose to be your old girlfriend? Who wrote that in? Jay stick to chasing down guys in your yard with your machine gun, acting ain't your thing brotha. Dean Cain WTF bro - from the AWARD WINNING FILM MAKER OF UNTIL IT HURTS. Love you!!! Truth

Patriottisme in the WORST way.

I still can't believe this is actually a serious movie. Besides the obvious racism in this film and the glorification of war, it's also poorly made. Storyline is just weird half of the time. You tell your pet moslim to come with you, to wear a suit and then you tell him to stay in the car because it's not the right time for him to come with. That's just the worst scriptwriting imo. If you're not a nationalist with an American flag on your porch who says things like "Go back to your own country!" Then you'll prob don't enjoy this film. :'-)
