Raaz series is back with Raaz reboot . But unfortunately it is back with same old stuff. It has nothing which you haven't seen in previous Bhatt movies . Talking about story of the movie is just ordinary . Even the screenplay of film is not scary . Even horror scene are those tried and tested scenes which fails to scare you . Biggest problem with the screenplay is it's predictabilty . Vikram Bhatt's direction is lame , because he didn't even tried to scare the audience . When it comes to horror flicks , most important thing is visuals of film . But Raaz failed when it comes to visual effects . Acting wise , only Emraan knows how to act in the cast . Not even any supporting actor was good enough . In fact they are so bad that you feel like laughing when they are seriously scared . You feel bad for Emraan because all his hardwork is wasted here . Only other good thing about this movie after Emraan was it's music . Music is just awesome . Every song is great . I would say instead of watching this movie , just download the songs because they are much better .

Raaz Reboot is one of the most anticipated movies of this year and this franchise is quite successful. Maybe the previous movies were not critically acclaimed but they are all commercially successful. It is a horror movie franchise and the story lines of those movies are different from each other. The first Raaz movie is a very good horror thriller and a very commercially successful movie. Then the predecessors have not achieved the good rate but commercially successful. For the success story of this franchise, I was eagerly waiting for this movie.
The producers took Vikram Bhatt as a director and this is a very good decision because he is a very good horror movie creator. They cast Emraan Hashmi and I think this is the best decision for this movie. I know Emran Hashmi is a good actor. His previous venture Azhar is not a successful movie but he shined in that movie. And for this movie when the performance is concern he is equally good. Kriti Kharbanda is OK but nothing to shout about. Gaurav Arora is strictly OK.
The direction of the movie OK but not great. The director had to concentrate on the story and the story is not quite imposing. The script and the screenplay are not rigid and there are plenty of plot holes in that. Editing is very choppy and music is not great.
After all, this is a Raaz Franchise and very anticipated movie for this years so you can take a chance for this movie.

Raaz Reboot--- Movie opens in Transylvania (Romania) Wow! what a set for a Horror movie. Avid Horror movie viewers will get what I am talking about. The Wow part ends and what you are left is terrible 2 hours. Vikram Bhatt is always inspired by Hollywood movies. In the past his movies have some share of success but mostly failures. Guess! what this time he made this movie inspired by his own horror movies and the result is a disaster. You feel at times you are watching Raaz, shades of Raaz 2, 1920, 1920 evil returns and what not.
The movie's script is thin as a wafer. Vikram Bhatt feels the Indian audience are fools. Viewers have been watching possession movies since "The Exorcist" so they know the standards. Mr Bhatt is still using those iconic scenes in his movies. But this time he is not able to depict that convincingly which he was successful in 1920. English anymore is not a barrier for the Indian audience as they have watched "The Conjuring 2" this year dubbed in Hindi. Thereafter, you are serving them Raaz Reboot is like instead of serving fresh food you are serving long-standing food which will destroy the consumer's appetite and make them feel sick The climax is of Bhatt's earlier venture 1920 as it is. Though in 1920 Adah Sharma and Rajneesh Duggal looked convincing in the climax. But if you compare the climax with Raaz Reboot both Adah and Rajneesh deserve an Oscar. The word Fu@# is being used in glory throughout the movie
The makeup of the ghost is the worst you have seen in the recent times. Bad background score, almost the same that was used in 1920 but here it does not work and is just a cacophony. Pathetic acting by Kirti Kharbanda and Gaurav Arora..Imraan Hashmi is a lost opportunity. Bhatt's last venture though he was not the director, 1920 London looks masterpiece compared to this movie. Vikram Bhatt is walking in Ramgopal Verma's shoes now. Strictly avoidable movie

Modern Bollywood horror films tend to unintentionally induce humor, and this fourth installment in the popular Raaz franchise is no different.
Shaina (Kriti Kharbanda) and her husband Rehaan (Gaurav Arora) have just moved to Romania, the birth place of Count Dracula. While Shaina is hoping to start a family here, Rehaan is preoccupied with something, which the audience have to assume to be what the title suggests (a secret). He behaves like he has ants in his pants and refuses to help her with her mission despite of it being a tempting one. As one can predict, it doesn't take much time for Shaina to experience ghost- like occurrences in the mansion that they live in, and before soon, she is possessed with a so-called spirit. Rehaan regrets his recent rude behavior with his wife, and scrambles to make her sane again, with the help of psychometric, the only new and interesting topic in the whole film.
I will say this straight out: there's nothing new in the film, which we could have easily guessed, given that the title suggests pretty much everything it had in store for us. Life of a seemingly happy couple turns upside down when one of them gets possessed whereas the unaffected one tries to pull some strings and chants "Hail Mary!" along with that weirdo of an exorcist to make the person sane again. Typical story-line straight out of the horror genre shelf, with some tweaks here and there in dribs and drabs. Emraan Hashmi comes out of a possible fugue state and enters the scene halfway and convolutes the plot just so people could distinguish between the films in the franchise in future. Otherwise, no one would be able to tell the four films apart from each other, save the mercy of the non-recurring actors.
There are lots of problems (or errors, as I like to call them here) with the plot and the way the characters speak with each other. Of course, the CBFC was right when it accused the film of using f-words non-sparingly. The ghost in the film seems to be a real performer, providing glimpses of her repertoire while she is in the act of scaring other characters. Her diction is pretty narrow and words obviously hated by CBFC takes up half of it. The fact that the plot unfolds in an exotic place like Romania does not even start to help the film from slipping down the drain.
Hashmi is the only bearable person. Poor man's Karan Singh Grover, Gaurav Arora, looks like he came right out of the Love Games (2016) sets and pretended he was kicking up a fight with his co-star of that film, Patralakeha. No chemistry between any of the couples in the film, unless you consider contrived scenes involving foreplay as romance.
Hasmi's films are usually a one-time affair, but this one did not even get the songs right, which is a travesty.
BOTTOM LINE: Vikram Bhatt's "Raaz: Reboot" tries to reboot itself by manually going to the Windows start menu, clicking on the Power option, and then confirming Restart. The only problem is that before it can complete the action, it gets the infamous Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) error, which can only be rectified if you "shut down and then try again". Skip it!

Well, they tried again very hard to scare the viewers but I didn't find even a single moment of horror in this movie. I was laughing at the moments where the movie was actually supposed to scare us because of the worst makeup, bad sound effects, bad background, horrible acting . Really bad effects, plus a very weak story. There was a scene where a snake broke the car radiator to prevent Emran and Kriti from going somewhere. I mean seriously?? If a f***ing ghost is involved in this, then does he really needs a f***ing snake to do that task. And believe me that snake graphics were horrible. And not to mention, the ghost makeup was the worst I have ever seen in my life. The ghost makeup was so damn realistic in Hollywood movies even in 60's and the Bollywood people can't afford to do that even in the 21st century. I mean come on yr. Dialogues were dreadful, it was way too laughable when the ghost kept on saying "f**k you" repeatedly to the Hero. The story was a mixture of many movies like 1920, 1920 returns, Raaz (part-1), the Exorcist and what not. The climax was copied as it is from the movie 1920. really disappointed to waste 2 hours of my life on this movie.

Raaz Reboot has the same old stuff that we have seen a zillions times.Raaz Reboot is mediocre fare and may appeal only to fans of the Raaz franchise. Most of its horror sequences are so random that they evoke laughter instead of fear. That can never be a good proposition for a horror film.Though the film has a few scary scenes, it ends up being a clichéd love story instead of a horror flick. The music by Jeet Ganguly, Sangeet and Sidharthy Haldipur is melodious, especially the title track. However, the movie doesn't really offer you a solid reason for watching it. I would go with 2/5 for this successor of Raaz franchise and would advise not to watch it and go for 'PINK' instead of it.

Vikram Bhatt is a Master when it comes to Making Horror Flicks, and 'Raaz Reboot' proves that fact yet again. This one's a terrific horror flick, that is eerie, creepy & interesting at the same time. Uff.. i can't explain the rest and i highly recommend u to watch this in a Cold environment.. Of course, before u go 4 it i must appreciate the possessed girl for her stunning performance..

Vikram Bhatt's direction style has become outdated. He hasn't changed a bit, but still manages to build a nice excitement that feels good. I still stand by my statement that Vikram Bhatt is the only Indian horror movie specialist surviving. Every actor has performed above average and it's a well-made product. After a long break, horror movie lovers can slightly wet their tongue in satisfaction.

You know how to serve old wine in a new glass?
Go to bhatt camp. Take emraan hashmi, two new comers and some not well known stars.
The final formula---
Raaz 1(65%)+Murder 1(25%)+1920(10%) = Raaz Reboot(2016)
Add some songs by arijit singh, kk and pritam.
Now you've seen a great flop horror movie that is a musically hit.
Guys, open your eyes it's a business formula rather than a movie.(jago Grahak jago).

Pros- Awesome songs and nothing. Seriously nothing.
Cons- Useless exaggerated background music throughout the plot. Except Emraan, either over acting or no acting at all from other casts. Tons of cheesy dialogues. No new scares or thrills only faces and creatures jumping on the screen with a loud scary music which is happening since decades. Very disappointing. Please make some decent Horror. It seems there is nothing left to think in Bollywood after watching 1920 London and Raaz 3.
Eagerly waiting for another masterpiece in Bollywood like 1920(2008), Raaz(2001) and Haunted.

Wow wow wow!! I've never been much of a fan of sequels but The Raaz Reboot was incredible. I'm never one to jump at everything 'scary' I see in movies as usually you've seen it all before & let's be honest, nothing really scares you much when your not a teenager anymore. However Raaz 1 had me jumping all over the place. At one point I even yelped, much to my embarrassment, but that's why we go to horror movies! To be scared & the Raaz Reboot didn't disappoint. All actors gave amazing performances & the story had you never in a state of boredom. Walking out of the cinema I couldn't wait to see what The Raaz 5 would bring! (Assuming we're lucky enough for another). Definitely a movie to see in the cinema. I give it 10/10!! Great movie!!The flow of the movie was good and the sound effects and spooky elements were on point!

Awesome movie nice Location...nice story...super Horror movie...story line too good...far far better than 1920 Series...had a nice time...worth watching with friends. Very good thrilling experience and it kept audience on the edge of the seat where all are curious about next scene. This movie is perfect in what it tries to achieve. It creates a perfect horror atmosphere, with a typical creepy musical score. This is one of the rare real scary Bollywood movies ever made. Raaz Reboot is an unique and original horror movie.Overall very well directed movie. Great movie! Acting was great!! Location was too good! People should go for the movie!!
