This show isn't perfect by any means, but definitely has a spark that kids will love! With it being a show on Disney XD it is definitely aiming much more to the kids than the adults, so that is something to remember when going into the show. Once you have that in mind, it will be easier to watch this show.
The series picks up right after the movie, and really does a good job with it. The series doesn't get as serious as the movie, but it's not trying to be. Many new interesting characters are introduced, while some others tend to be a little flat.
Those problems are small to none, but the series is for sure a good time once you get in touch with your inner child. I can't wait to see where this series goes.

The series didn't really interest me at first but with the arrival of some interesting villains it just got better. The best part though, in my opinion, was the character of Karmi and the love / hate relationship with Hiro / SuperHiro is adorable. It is really a shame that it all ended in a stalemate with the third and final season that did not bring the story forward an inch by limiting itself to episodes of about ten minutes and disconnected from each other. A real disappointment.
I was a huge fan of the movie. I would have loved to see another movie and then we got a series, so I was intrigued to see what it'd be like. At first I thought it was weird they switched the animation but I think it works for a Tokyo style comic show that's easier to animate. I think they were really trying to appeal to kids with the series and I think at some points it's more noticeable and kinda hard to watch. I'd say my least favorite part of the show are those annoying lightning dancer villains (if you know you know) and that Fred's stupidity gets tiresome. They could have absolutely done without the dancers it was too cringy. It's a somewhat bearable show that can be interesting at times but there's not much that made me keep watching other than Baymax, Hiro, and go go's necessary pessimism.
I know there is a Baymax spin-off series in the works, but I am super disappointed the Big Hero 6 series is being cancelled because of it. I like the personalities of the characters and the way they work together as friends and superheroes. Baymax is obviously an important character in the series, but a show focusing more on him and his duty to care for people's health and well-being seems boring to say the least.
Please looks through the downgraded animations (that's the one missing star). Although the budget for this series is clearly lower, the voice actors from the movie return and newcomers too are absolutely brilliant. Much more importantly, the overall plot of this arch will blow your mind. While the series itself relies on many tropes it acknowledges it does so and plays with them.
There is little I dislike about the series, it's original, clever and funny. I would even go as far as to say there is some great pedagogic value in this series, and watching it is a rather wholesome experience.
Give this series 3 episodes to prove itself to you. You won't regret it.
