Very decent movie, and nicely made. This was successful in interleaving the beautiful culture of Mithila, and the problems that has crippled this region. If you are a Maithil you will love the movie and instantly feel the urge to do something for your motherland. At the same time, watching such a well made movie in Maithili language will make you proud.

From class acting to music, cinematography and direction, the movie makers didn't leave any stone unturned to make this movie a surreal experience. ****Slight Spoiler alert**** The story revolves around family of protagonist who visits his hometown after several years. A strong connect towards his motherland and some hidden and unravelled mystery holds him back to stay. **** The strength and currency of this movie is not in story itself but in amazing acting which felt so god damn real that for a moment I felt I was in my village listening to people talk in a candid tone and manner. The upsetting reality that has left Bihar as one of the most underdeveloped state of country is shown defacto. Also the Mithila people who strongly hold their culture and values close to their heart and succeed well outside the state are rightly pictured in the film. At times it will leave you wondering, is success achieved by staying outside your own motherland worth it? A visit to homeland by protagonist will feel like a deja vu and the dark and upsetting side of reality will ultimately leave you dejected with anger and frustration. In the end, it leaves a right message that truth always wins..but can everyone afford the cost? Come out of protagonist's shoes and you will be left where you were but that's reel vs real life anyways. If at all beyond the detailed attention to detail, amazing acting and direction is concerned, the movie does a terrific job in bringing the untouched reality (of Bihar and Bihari people) to life. Worth mentioning that there is a lot of special mention at the end to big names like Sekhar Suman, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Sanjay Mishra, Sonu Nigam and more. Before coming to OTT platforms, it already won National award for best Maithili film. This movie has set the bar sky high for any regional movie. I loved it.

Amazing movie in regional language, great acting, and beautiful cast.

This two hour long maithili movie actually exceeded all my expectations. First of all, I am really happy that they made something amazing for the maithil watching peoples as well. Now, if we talk about the movie, The story was actually pretty solid, casts were brilliant, everyone nailed their role except that one guy who played the bodyguard of Brahma Singh, his acting was awful. Kranti Prakash Jha was so soothing for this role and i love how they give him his original name in the movie. If we talk about the cons, the story is slow paced so it might look boring to few people, the colour grading felt very raw so it wasn't giving movie like vibes, The climax wasn't that good it felt like they dragged movie a little much so they rushed the climax.
