Shahrzad series is definitely one of the top Iranian TV series of all time, I have seen 14 episodes at the time of writing this review and have enjoyed every minutes of it.

Very well written scenario, you would be astonished by ups and downs of the story and how un-predictable it can get, smooth and wonderful act by all actors and actresses, lovely music and sound tracks, stage design is wonderful.

You would feel moments that you cannot blink and it gets you emotionally attached to the characters and the story that you can think of them for hours after watching each episode…

After a long time I watched a beautiful, inspiring Iranian TV series.

After Gharib's Story (2007), I consider this show as the best Iranian TV Show. Of course it has its weaknesses but the story is so well developed that the weaknesses can be ignored. The acting of all the main characters is great and most of all Shahab Hosseini and Taraneh Alidusti have portrayed their characters to perfection. Set decoration is good and custom design is great. But the dialogues are the ones that are noticeable. Dialogues are very close to the real dialect of people of that time and the actors speak them as if they are from that time and place. May be the reason I don't consider it as the best TV Show is because some actors/actresses are not really good and in some places the dialogues seem so cliché. But other than that, it's really great.

This is one of the best, and perhaps THE best Iranian series I have ever watched.

The story is absolutely stunning.

A very strong drama mixed with thrilling moments which bring you you an unforgettable experience.

The Cast have done their job almost perfectly, particularly main characters.

The costume design is very good.

Quality of film-making is exemplary.

Will make you shocked, compassionate and cry!

Not sure if it appeal broad audience as much.

There is so much crap on Iranian TV these days that is renewed year after year, which uses cheap gags, pointless and sometimes ridiculous plots, unbelievable and many times one dimensional characters and yet all the truly great shows get cancelled.

There is enough brain-dead television, but once in a while a show comes along that transports you to another world and makes you believe in the magic of television again. "Shahrzad" is one such an Iranian TV series.

"Shahrzad" is Historical, complex, multi-layered, vibrant and it draws your eye in to the surprising level of detail.

The actors, the costumes, the make-up, The music and sound tracks, everybody working on this TV series seems to have wanted to make Television-history.

And the writing is just phenomenal, intelligent and well delivered by competent acting,

well first I should say this is the best Iranian series I've ever seen in my life. The biggest and most successful of the series: Hassan Fathi, the director of the series. apart of this, this series have a big actress and her name is Tanareh Alidoosti. U must see "shahrzad". it's fantastic! Shahab Hosseini and Ali Nasirian are the best actors of this series. IMDb wants me to type many lines but I cant not write more than this because u should see the series first and then understand what am I saying about Shahrzad. Mohsen Chavoshi was the best choice for this series to singing. If u wanna watch shahrzad just buy the DVD and do not download it. I think it's 10 lines now' OK IMDb?

An epic drama loosely based on the history of Iran from the perspective of different but engaging, rich characters . The consistent poetry of the Persian language used is so eloquent and powerful. This drama is a wonderful non-gratuitous love story, which was performed by the characters in a rather fascinating way. Actress Taraneh Alidoosti packs more beauty and feeling in still silence, she possess such incredible skill. A beautiful story, with just as beautiful cinematography. I am mesmerised.

The best historical series in Iran. A romantic and exciting story with the right politics. Lasting and brilliant acting.

This is one the greatest series I've ever watched!!

It starts with good character development which gives viewers the hope that it is going to be a unique story however, slowly turns into the good and bad definition that gets portrayed in every single Iranian movie.The story has lots of potential but it goes down the hill as it develops. Seems a bit all over the place! It becomes the usual fairy tale type movie that good characters are too good to be true! Almost every fairy tale involves a battle between good and evil, and this one's no exception.

Amazing acting performances. This is one of those rare movies where the acting and dialogue is darn near perfect, but the plot is weak.

What a pity that story-line doesn't live up to the expectations.

I have watched 16 episodes of first season and every scene of each episode is just amazing. I like how story develops and how it keeps you clinging to the whole series. Unfortunately, I could find subtitles of only 16 episodes. It's been many years since this series was released but no English subtitles are available for foreign audience. I wish I had subtitles of next episodes to complete it.

Maybe the best Iranian series. I love ghobad character.

good from everything and the director do its work very well the actress chosen carefully and doing its job well wish to see more like this series in future.

the music is perfect. and we wish from the producer to make same this series but in modern style. just one point want to refer to it. that locations in series is so repeated and wish make more decors and also the smoking (hahaha) every focus someone should start smoking.

I'm not originally Iranian but I loved this series it's so nice all cast played professional and the story OMG I never seen anything full of feelings like this , I don't want to watch anything else cuz im sure nothing will be same beautiful as Shahrazad Love the sound tracks too specially NASHOD 💔

Although the second season wasn't good at all it's still my favorite Iranian series of all time. It never gets old. Take it from someone who is rewatching it for a hundredth time. I still can't believe it's ended.

Again with the family Again with a magnificent Persian series This is one of the best, Iranian series I have ever watched.

Maybe the best Iranian serie I have seen so far. Shahab hoseini. Hi is from another planet. Everyone play really really good. Hashem damavandi he is so good in his role. I really recommend this serie to everyone who want to see a beautiful love story. Sadest love story.

Shahrzaf definitely one of the best Asian series. This series show us a real love and Selfishness and.... I completely recommend for every people who think know something about LOVE

Confused about the ratings but we've been dramatic every now and then. Maybe a good story which blows by every going on episodes that air and in second season there's almost nothing. Lame, cheap and lack of logic on so many levels.

It is destiny that decides who puts one on one's path. But in the end, it is one's heart that decides who stays and who goes.

As a non-native speaker it's so hard to use some good adjectives but there's no way to admire the best filmed Series ever by using the adjective WOW.

Maybe I'm a little bit over-exaggerating but I really need to say it: Shahrzad was the second best Series that I've ever watched - the first one was The LOST and the third one with a very far distance was The Breaking Bad.

I strongly recommend you to watch such a astonishing, breathtaking, marvelous, incredible, favorable, outstanding, stellar,fabulous and AWESOME Series EVER.

The series is broadcast is always awaiting the next episode. The serial casting was done very well. Imaging and design clothes was so loud his past climate Mybrm.dr enjoy the view, the series was felt. Field Ms. Alidousti and Mr. Shahab Hosseini is exemplary. Congratulations to the author and director of the show, Mr. Fathi.

I suggest you watch this movie at all.

Just a pity that not all able to watch television.
