Slamma Jamma

This is one of my favorite sports films. The character development and storytelling are operating very highly. The montages are motivational, meaningful, and beautifully shot. The dunk scenes are probably some of the best in film history, and the acting is superb.

Whenever i was let down by something, i would just watch this movie and i would feel revived. This movie gives me the courage to do anything in life. The dialog is incredible Whenever i lose faith or i don't have the enough courage to face the problems of my life, this movie gives me all i ever need. SO IF SOMEONE DOES NOT LIKE THIS MOVIE, I GUESS THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THAT PERSON. In this movie, the way that this guy Diggs has faced his problems with faith and all heart is awesome. I would recommend this movie to everyone who has problems and doesn't have the courage to face them. I HAVE PERSONALLY WATCHED THIS MOVIE OVER 10 TIMES At least BUT STILL I WATCH IT SOMETIMES WHEN I'm LOW.

Certainly moralistic and a tad simplistic (as all his stories are), but enjoyable none the less. Its a good film but has little that will make it stand out from the rest other than its good film.

Slamma Jamma' is a decent/good movie that could have been a great movie. I say that it is a decent movie because the overall plot was pretty solid and the acting was very good. However, it could have been a great film if the story could have been told with greater detail and the film had been better edited. I give it a 9 because of the sensational ending when the lead actor rescues his brother, and you will not find a better speech in any Hollywood movie ever.

Left me in tears. It's all about GOD and some people despise that.

I almost never would give a 10 on a film since I believe that every film could do better, but in this case it is just a really good family film with some great take-a-ways. The acting keeps getting better in their films and the professionalism of the script level is very comparable to any family film produced by Hollywood. The messages and impact was felt deeply by myself. The next day I am still singing the songs in my head and trying to make some differences in my daily life to take advantage of the advise offered in the movie. I can't understand why many people would vote a '1' and then not even do a review, unless they never even saw the film and are just against anything with references to Jesus in a film. I guess that part hasn't changed in over 2000 years!? Go see the film and take someone with you...

I don't really know how to rate this movie. The movie was pretty good. The slam-dunking was excellent. The story was sad and happy - i was laughing and crying. The ending was messed up with the bad guy getting away with taking his girlfriend. Part of the movie is a 10. Then you have to take away a point for the OK acting. Okay, I'll give it an 9......

TWO THUMBS UP. Its "perfection" is in the fact that this is an interesting, truly uplifting story, with warm characters, outstanding performances, and an appeal to everyone, whatever sex, age, background - and equally for those who know and/or care little for the game of basketball.

If this film didn't mention Jesus or God, the rating would be a 9+ in my humble opinion. But haters hate.

What makes this also one of the best sports films of all time isn't just the sport, it's because it's such a human-interest film, such a wonderful story of giving people second chances in life. Add a true-life David beat Goliath story and you have an appealing film.
