Story reminds alot of notebook, main actor who plays Jake has potential, if a better actress was chosen would have been much better, that aside, movie is extremely cheap in all the ways possible, actors lack chemistry big time. Set, location, supporting actors are horrible.

I watched this while quarantined due to coronavirus, I was already bored and didn't have high hopes but I expected something. Definitely a very low budget film, poorly written film. The lead actress is terrible, she speaks with such a slow-emotionless tone it completely takes away from the movie. Her character also narrates everything with got very old, very fast. The lead actor has potential. Not a must see or frankly even a bored see.

I made an account just to publicly say how bad this movie is. The actor who played jake is probably a good actor but the script was horrible and cringey. The girls voice overs are so stupid and every time she speaks seems like shes trying so hard. Shes debby ryan minus disney. The lead guy can act but the girl should model or something without words or facial expressions. All the smaller roles would make great extras but no lines.

This movie is like a film school project the lead roles parents have paid for.

This movie was really boring, it tried to be like the movie the notebook but doesn't even come close, they try to use the same lines as the notebook. Don't waste your time watching this movie instead go watch the notebook that you will love!

So much wrong here. The over and under acting. The dialogue writing is amateurish at best, the lame need for the inner voice monologue so the audience doesn't get/feel lost in the vapid world. He made a Mix tape(CD)? Did they overdub the stepfathers voice or is his acting just bad? I'm just hoping my girlfriend finally realizes how bad this is and gets annoyed so we can move on the something else and hopefully salvage this rainy covid day.

I think all the cast was great except for lead female!! She spoke like she was on downers. It was a cute love story that had a good ending. But seemed like a "B" movie without the energy of the lead actress!!

The writing is terrible. The acting is terrible. Maybe the worst movie I've ever watched and I've watched a lot of movies.

"The Sand Dune" (2018) is an indie drama/romance that's proficiently made, except for maybe the acting of the stepfather in a brief scene. Something unexpected happens just before the halfway point that perks interest just when the easygoing love story starts to get tedious.

Lovely Lynnea Smith as protagonist Aylin is one of the highlights, as are the locations of the South Texas shores. The second half throws in some interesting or amusing bits, like Aylin's celebrity beau, Bjorn.

It runs 1 hour, 29 minutes, and was shot in Corpus Christi, Texas, and Kansas City, Missouri.

GRADE: B-

I can't believe this movie made it past production. I can't believe I watched the whole thing. After a while, it became a joke. The writing was terrible-predictable and trite. The acting was worse.

I never saw so many bad actors in one movie. Painful to watch! I think any good reviews are probably their relatives. The lead actress was sooo bad!

This film is basically a porno with all the sex scenes removed.

The base of the movie was good. Had a good plot and it started off decent enough. However he acting needed to be a little better and it fell flat. I felt like something was missing in the end.

If you are looking for a nice movie for your preteen or teen this is it. No objectionable material and a well made film that will entertain the entire family.we all enjoyed watching this movie.

Its family friendly and timeless themes are heartwarming and remind me that true love can stand the test of time, and overcome any obstacle. Family friendly, beautiful cinematography, and a great plot!

This romantic movie has something for everyone. The Sand Dune is a realistic summer romance between a young girl and an older guy. It has genuine emotion; you feel what Aylin feels, what Jake feels and you feel for them. It is easy to connect with these characters. The scenery is beautiful, the actors have chemistry, and the music sets the tone for this family friendly love story. This is one you'll want to watch again and again.

This movie was a sweet surprise!! Good story, new and exciting cast. It truly is a "must see"!!
