Paramount+ and Taylor Sheridan's hit Western drama series Landman has cast two new actors for its upcoming second season. They join Sam Elliott in becoming a select few of the new characters being added to theLandman cast, led by Oscar winner Billy Bob Thornton as Tommy Norris.

Per Deadline, Guy Burnet and Miriam Silverman have been cast as new characters in Landman season 2. They join Thornton, Elliott, and Landman season 1 regulars Ali Larter, Michelle Randolph, Jacob Lofland, Kayla Wallace, Paulina Chávez, James Jordan, Colm Feore, Mark Collie, and Demi Moore.

In recurring guest roles, Burnet will play Charlie Newsom, a charming oil and gas engineer, and Silverman will play Greta Stidham, an intimidating university admissions counselor.

If you're still holding out hope for a Pitch Perfect 4, you're not alone, and neither are the stars of the franchise. After the franchise's last installment dropped eight years ago, hopes of a fourth haven't yet materialized. In a recent interview with Cbr, franchise stars Rebel Wilson and Anna Camp revealed what’s keeping the Bellas from reuniting on screen. Spoiler alert: It's not them.

Wilson, who hilariously brought Patricia "Fat Amy" Hobart to life across all three films, was candid when asked about the long-rumored fourth installment. Responding to Anna Kendrick’s previous comments about being the "steam engine" behind the sequel, Wilson replied candidly: “I mean, look, I think there's one or two people that are the people who pull the trigger on it, which is not us." Back in May 2024, Wilson revealed she was aware a fourth film was in the works, though she noted that nothing had been officially confirmed.

Emma Roberts and comedian Matt Rife are set to star in the romantic comedy “Marriage Material,” from BuzzFeed Studios, with Capstone Global launching worldwide sales in Cannes.

Trish Sie, whose credits include “Pitch Perfect 3,” “The Sleepover” and “Players,” is set to direct from a screenplay written by Ben Agron and Brandon Feldman.

“Marriage Material” follows the founder of a dating app, whose deadbeat husband’s alimony payments are bleeding her dry, so she must use it to find him a new wife before her company goes public.

Tony McFarr, who was Chris Pratt’s stunt double in “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” and two of the “Jurassic World” movies, died on Monday. He was 47.

McFarr’s mother told TMZ that he died at his home outside of Orlando, Fla. No cause of death has been given. His death was reported on the website of the Wylie-Baxley Funeral Home in Merritt Island, Fla.

The stuntman performed in dozens of movies and shows, dating back to the early 2010s. He first doubled for Pratt on the 2015 film “Jurassic World” and followed that up with 2017’s “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” and 2018’s “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.” He also performed Pratt’s stunts in the 2016 drama “Passengers.”

In an interview with The New York Times about her memoir, Wilson was asked about her decision to write candidly about some of the salaries she earned during her acting career thus far.

Rebel Wilson has recently made a surprising revelation in an excerpt from her new mémoire, Rebel Rising. According to an excerpt obtained by US Weekly, the Pitch Perfect actress asserted that a few celebrities often took offense at the term “plus-size”. Assuming that perhaps that’s why even Adele hated her, Rebel Wilson noted how the singer would allegedly “always quickly” turn away when they crossed paths at events.

NCIS: Origins is a prequel focusing on Leroy Gibbs' early years in the 1990s. The show will feature new characters played by Tyla Abercrumbie and Diany Rodriguez. They join a cast that already includes Austin Stowell, Kyle Schmid, and Mariel Molino.

NCIS: Origins has added two new characters to its lineup. Per Deadline, the NCIS: Origins prequel has brought on two additional cast members. Tyla Abercrumbie and Diany Rodriguez have joined the show as series regulars, playing the knowledgable, protective Field Operation Support Officer Mary Jo and the steely, determined Special Agent Vera Strickland respectively.

Whether Pitch Perfect and its sequels can be considered musicals is open for debate. Although dozens of songs are performed in each film, everything happens “in-universe” as part of acapella competitions. The Barden Bellas soon become a family, and the best performances in the Pitch Perfect movies are the ones that combine great songs with storytelling.

Pitch Perfect 3 fell flat with its overly self-aware comedy and lackluster plot, resulting in a low critic score. Pitch Perfect 2 capitalized on the success of the original, but felt like a weak imitation despite its box office success.
