Spare Room

"(A) Spare Room" tells the story of Lillian a young widow of a soldier how has recently died on a mission in Afghanistan, struggling with everyday expenses and with difficult family situation. She meets another veteran, David, and her life will never be the same again.

This is actually a powerful movie and I like the fact that at first you don't have any expectation about it, but then you really start to feel the story and appreciate it.

It deals with a tough topic and delicate matters, but has also a sweeter romantic side and ends in an unforeseeable way that gives it even more beauty. It's a tale of love, loss, honor, bravery and finding the courage to repair the damages done in the past.

The cast is really good, Skyler Samuels stands out and it's amazing to see how she portrays Lillian's deep relationship with her brother Arrow and how she navigates the turbulent waters of her "romantic life", finally understanding where real love could lie.

So I appreciated a lot this movie and it really deserves more recognition.

I wouldn't necessarily classify this as a drama... However it has a good storyline and really hits the heart to those of a military family. I enjoyed it.

While the story is slightly predictable, there is depth to the emotions of the acting in the film that rings true for anyone who has experienced trauma or grief. Definitely worth the watch if you like dramas

That could have been told without the foul language.

Story is good if you are into drama genre. Movie moves at a slow pace, but stays interesting. Lead female actor steals the show; and everyone else does reasonably well too.
