Not much I can say really in this review except that as usual Jeff Ross knocks it out of the park. He takes no prisoners (forgive the pun) in this special and shows he has balls of steel to roast these dudes.
He does a great job of showing how the Justice System really works and along the way he produces hilarious laughs.
A true comedy genius and a MUST watch.

If you think Jeff Ross might tone it down to an audience of violent incarcerated felons, drug-dealers and neo-nazi skinheads, you would be, well, dead wrong. Ross is at his ballsiest, unrestrained, hilarious best performing at one of the toughest county jails in Texas. He gives new meaning to what it means to 'take no prisoners.'
It may sound clichéd to talk about the power of laughter to breakdown barriers, but for a couple hours at least, Ross shows that it can demolish a prison wall and bring together violent gang members, blacks, whites, latino's,jews, gentiles, men, women and even prison guards in a common, almost transcendent moment of laughter and forgetting.
The problem is that it you will never look Jeff Ross in the same way again. He will no longer be just the roastmaster insult-comic-in-chief.. His performance is not just funny. Its fearless, heartfelt, compassionate and at times, even wrenching. Yeah, you'll laugh like hell with the toothless convicts. And you might cry with them too.

I love stand-up comedies but I can't say roasts are really my favorite kind of humor even though sometimes it can be funny. In this case Jeff Ross roasts some criminals from the Brazos County Jail in Texas, and I have to admit this was an entertaining evening. Not only the criminals prove they are all humans and have a good sense of humor, of self-deprication, but Jeff Ross also points out what's really wrong with the whole prison system in the USA. Besides being funny he also score points with his good analysis, it's worth mentioning. Some prisoners just don't belong there, certainly not the ones that are there for drug possession. Others do belong there and probably shouldn't get out but an evening like this one can only lighten up the situation for everybody as laughter is a cure for everything. The criminals look all like somebody you don't want to meet in a dark alley but they take every roast like it's the best thing that happened to them in a long time, which it probably really was. Those people also deserve some entertainment, just to lighten up their time a bit. One of the better roasts shows I watched from Jeff Ross.
When I heard that one of the most ballsy, offensive, and most hilarious comedian ever Jeff Ross was going to be doing one of the most risky stand up specials ever by preforming live for prisoners in Brazos County Jail, you bet I was tuning in for it. I mean what could go wrong?
Well I'm happy to report that this is one of the funniest, genius, touching, most clever, and quite possibly one of the most riskiest shows ever done by a comedian ever, and my goodness does this show shine in every way. What we have here is a comedy special which I will say does have a lot of time dedicated to Ross showing off just how the Public Justice System feels corrupt and how the idea that all people locked up are some thick-skinned bad guys, is just incorrect. This aspect is shown off throughout the show filmed just like a documentary as Ross talks too many of the inmates around getting to know their stories as too why they are there and such. I thought I would find this dynamic to be dull, boring, and just thrown in my face in order to convey a point; and I will say at first it may feel like that, however, paying real close attention I found that it was rather touching and sad to see and hear these inmates stories, which then seeing them laugh and enjoy Jeff Ross's hilarious performance at the jail, really adds a heartfelt feeling. Jeff Ross clearly is doing this not just for the attention, but too prove a point that everyone deserves a 2nd chance, and chance to laugh. Which laughter is really the key word here. Not only does every joke in here work, bu they are funny as hell! You can clearly see that Ross is working off the top of his head here, and in the end he succeeds with flying colors. Some may argue that 'Well it says he was supposed to do it like he does the roasts and he didn't!' But I would argue he did in fact do just that, a lot of his joke were directed at the inmates themselves, and at multiple points he brings them up to roast them Jeff Ross style. By the end of this movie not only will you have laughed yourself to death, but you will also have a sense that everything shown to you was none other than cold hard fact, and those facts are: . Jeff Ross is hysterical
. We honestly do view inmates wrongly
In conclusion If you are looking for a laugh out loud movie that not only provides the jokes, but an honest message, then you'll honestly enjoy this movie. Some again may not like the whole dynamic of switching between comedy and documentary but here, it's clear that it works. Although I will say that maybe switching from great punchline to sad story can be a little strange, which is why it is the only issue I had with this film. But I am an honest man and I have to go with how I felt, and I felt my stomach twist with all the laughter I was letting out, so that being said; Rock on Jeff Ross
