Love athletics, I watch every competition with or without big stars taking part. I remember great documentaries like 16 Days of Glory about LA84 but this documentary is boring, keep losing interest and Bolt's opinions are not the very clever or interesting you can hear (it's true he wanted to be a footballer because he speaks like one: dull). A sucesion of his races would have been more interesting than this boring and bad filmed documentary.
In the 100m and 200m, Usain Bolt has ruthlessly dominated the field in athletics in the last 8 years and is the only person ever to win a triple-triple of golds in the Olympics. Between his absolute reign and his fun-loving, animated demeanor, you can't be faulted for thinking it is just raw talent and some training.
'I am Bolt' presents a window into his life: the ups and downs, the euphoria and the lack of hope and motivation that are the natural cycles in a career in sport. It's a peek behind the perception of eternal greatness.
Certainly a recommended watch.

In terms of personality, Bolt is the greatest. It's sounds like a bit cliché to connect these two words: Bolt and greatest. It seems to me that's enough just to say Bold.
He is the definition of what it's like to be bold guy who won the Olympics nine times! Did you hear me? Nine times!
In real life, at least if you watched both documentaries about him, he is the next door guy. His way of laughing, joking, making fun of his couch, and chatting with his friends, he is the ordinary guy. He is like my friends I'm hanging out. Really!
But man, you are watching nine times champion of Olympic games. Impressive to see why are greatest the great and it isn't because of their ego, it's all because you have done something in this World. No matter how big or small, just keeping the eye on your aim and do anything to make it happen.
There were few truly inspirational moments in this movie. My opinion is the documentary is a failure how they covered the fastest man alive. Rating 7/10 I gave for the documentary, Bolt himself has always been 10/10!

(Flash Review)
In contrast to Bolt's direct A to B running goals, it was indirect, hard to follow and felt scattered and rambling. I did not like how this was edited. While it did give you some behind the scenes look at Bolt's training, partying, hotel room activities, it did not truly showcase how amazing his track career actually was. There were plenty of interviews where people talked about it but it would have been more effective to illustrated how his victories were better than other famous athletes like Carl Lewis, Michael Johnson, etc... or even compare is world record times to previous records. There was too much dilly-dallying with unimportant material. Some is interesting; too much is boring.

I put off watching this and when I did start I thought I'd probably not watch it through to the end. However I did as I couldn't remember Bolts results at the 2016 Olympics which kept me more interested than maybe the documentary justified.
There were quite a lot of conversations between Bolt and his trainer/friends etc which I couldn't quite understand, but I don't think I missed much. Bolt seems like a nice chap but there were way too many scenes of him just chatting to his camera phone - this wasn't great.
This could have been half an hour shorter and more time spent showing races rather than the associated before/after banter. So certainly watchable, but could have been so much better.
