I cannot mention any one actor over another as it would be an injustice. The actors are fingers to a hand, all working together for a beautifully memorable story of the Italian immigrant experience.

An intelligent and heart warming tribute to Italian immigrants that exemplifies the struggle and challenges any immigrant experiences when entering a new culture, with a new language. It also shows the generational divide when trying to adapt. This story is acted and told passionately in both a humorous and touching way. It is about love, father and son, family, and finding your roots, that anyone can relate to. Have watched it now several times, and each time see some subtle nuance that adds even more depth to the story. Stunning scenery, and beautiful musical score!

People who don't get this film don't realize it was based on the real life experience of an Sicilian immigrant, who co-wrote the script. The message about family, language and the challenge of adjusting to a new culture was recently recognized by the Socially Relevant Film Festival in NYC, where it won best picture.

If there was ever a movie for you to see about immigrants in Canada/North America, this would be the one. I revelled in 90 minutes of gorgeous Italian music, beautiful scenery of Sicily, and a touching funny story of father and son; family unity; and one big crazy feast.

This is the most refreshing movie I've seen in years. It took me to a place of joy through tears and laughter. It's got heart and it's got grit. The cinematography was sensitive and yet breathtaking; the humour was gentle and truly funny; the immigrant story was a definite "me too"; the music left me wanting more; and at the end, my heart was smiling.
