Rafferty: There are no witches.

Daniel: This is shaping up to be the worst Christmas since I died.

Kate: [back from Boston] So, any more ghost sightings?
Daniel: Only when I look in the mirror.

Kate: Are you going to keep disappearing and reappearing like this?
Daniel: Are you gonna keep calling the sheriff? I'm pretty sure he thinks it's all in your head.
Kate: Is it? Are you?
Daniel: You tell me. It's your head.

Laird: You're beautiful, and smart, and I know that somewhere deep inside you is a woman capable of great love - but I don't bring that out in you and I never will.
Kate: Are you breaking up with me?
Laird: Yes.
Kate: Oh, thank God.
Laird: What?
Kate: I thought you were proposing.

Daniel: A challenge - from a lady! Hm, even after death there are firsts.

Rafferty: Though Daniel's never harmed anyone, every once in a while he does like to assert himself.
Kate: "Daniel." Mm-hm. You're on a first name basis with the ghost?

Kate: Times have changed since you were last out in the world.
Daniel: People don't fall in love?
Kate: Some do. I haven't. Good night.

Charles: A promise is only as good as the character of the man who makes it.

Daniel: Twelve days isn't good enough. I want more.

Daniel: Let this be my Christmas gift to you. You will remember what it means to love and be deeply loved in return. And when the opportunity to love once again presents itself, you will be ready.

Oliver: Henrietta Forsythe finally died.
Kate: And good morning, Oliver.

Daniel: [on movies] Bit of advice: There's more to life and the afterlife than one can find in the realm of flickering lights and pipe organ music.

Laird: I knew when we met, the man who won you would be beyond lucky.
Kate: Um...
Laird: Kate, that man just isn't me.
Kate: Uh, I'm sorry.

Rafferty: And... where will you stay until then?
Kate: Ah well, this is an inn, so I kind of figured that I would stay here.
Rafferty: Impossible. Uh, as I said, we're closed until December 26th. The staff's already gone, and I'll be leaving within the hour.
Kate: Mm. Well, as executor of the estate, I have a set of keys, so, not impossible.
Rafferty: Inadvisable.

Daniel: Tonight. Bring companions. By then I will have secured the ingredients needed to establish my veracity.
Molly: Hmm, I have no idea what you just said, but I will see you tonight.

Daniel: Appears the woman you were "not courting" is being courted by others.
Rafferty: [grimly] Thanks for the update.

Kate: But you know, I'm not going to pretend to feel something that I don't, and, you're so right, I just... I don't.

Oliver: You work harder than anyone here, and that makes my life easier.

Kate: I think you're real.
Daniel: But what IS real?

Kate: So, what is it like? You know, when you're not... like you are now.
Daniel: Like a nightmare that goes on forever. I want to wake, but I can't.
