For a first movie of a well known Character will be important to stablish good foundations , this film is that and more , beacouse the need of show how a man ( well is an alien but ) with superpowers grows trying to look like a normal person to other people , to be accepted , and the hard way to break with his foster parents education to arrive to his maximum potencial .
So i hope this motion picture will be the first of many , in another hand we have a comedy for all the family , well will be some non-correct languaje , but nothing a modern child had'nt hear in his usual day . And we have a film with hiden eggs also , the hero having breakfast ....... looks like a Alfredo Landa or ...... will be Charles Chaplin , or may be a mix of both of them.
Finaly has been a good experience to see "Superlopez" finally on a cinema screen.

This is not Avengers. It is a completely goofy Spanish parody of Superman that was so dumb that it was funny. I'm not Spanish, and I don't speak spanish, so I can't speak to how faithful this was to the comic, or how good the dialogue and acting we're in the original language. I had to watch the English dubbed version on Netflix. My wife picked it on a whim. I had never heard of the comic before, but I do like The Tick, and other superhero parodies. But it was so silly and stupid funny to that I watched the whole thing and enjoyed it. Its kind of slow in places, and the dub has a lot of swearing in it (even a few f-bombs that I thought were out of place). But I laughed out loud a lot, and even felt inclined to give it a positive review. If you are wanting an epic superhero movie with good production values and and top notch acting you'll probably hate this. If you're looking for brilliant comedy and witty dialog, then you'll probably also hate this. But if you like superhero parodies, and enjoy cheesy light-hearted movies then you might like it. I thought the music was actually really good. And I found the lead actor to be likeable and funny, although it was an obvious dub. But the voice actor did pretty good and I think the cheesiness of the dubbed made me like it more.
More often than not, Spanish cinema is a matter of hollywood rehashes, really terrible humour, and forced drama.
Superlopez a superhero parody. Here we have some of the finest in Spanish comedy (although the bar is very low, so it's really not much of a compliment) and it really makes use of some native tools that can make Spanish films stand out from Hollywood films in a good way.
First, much of the humour centers on critiques of Spanish society. As an example, Superlopez' adopted father says at one point "in this country, you have to be mediocre to get ahead." Like in Hercules (1997), rather than being celebrated for his super abilities, the townsfolk revile him as a freak. In that movie it didn't make sense (wouldn't people want to be friends with a freakishly strong person?), here it is critiquing Spanish society as complacent and uniform to the extent that any deviation from the norm is seen is undesireable.
Granted, there is the obligatory "make fun of regional Spanish accents" scene which occurs in most Spanish comedies. That's not funny, but we can overlook it since I assume there's some law requiring such scenes to be in every Spanish comedy.
Secondly, because Europeans are not so socially developed as the USA, they're able to get away with being less PC. Here the Latin American characters are not shown in a positive light. All are in very low-ranking employment positions compared to the Spaniards and some are stereotyped as violent or lecherous. It's offensive and it wouldn't fly in today's USA, but the outrageousness of it is pretty funny. Now, whether or not it's responsible or desireable to have this sort of thing in the media is a good question for debate.
Ultimately it's got laughs and it's effective as a vehicle for satire, outrageous humour, and physical gags. On the other hand, it has its longueurs here and there and the plot is silly and inane in the extreme.
Honourable Mentions: Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult (1994). A hilarious action parody. It's similar to this movie but more surrealist in its humour.

Ironical spoof of the American hero, Superman, here in the peculiar Spaniard style. Spanish comic books legend comes alive in this wonderfully entertaining saga of Superhero's life . It portrays Superlópez from being a baby on a doomed and farway planet named Chitón. There a nasty General called Skorba : Ferran Rañe, threatens with his military army to destroy the planet, annhilate towns and its population. While the planet is really threatened, the newborn is sent by his parents : Gonzalo Castro, Portas, to Earth by flying at a pod throughout the deep space. The pod lands on the Spanish countryside where is found, raised and educated by a farmer marriage : Pedro Casablanc, Gracia Olayo, who have a repair garage . Later on, when grown-up, he works as an offfice clerk and decides to practice and expose his superpowers by flying and pulling off impossible missions . Along the way, another native, Maribel Verdú, of his planet attempts to capture him to carry out dark purports . Meantime, Juan gets a job from his old friend Jaime : Julián López, but then his orderly existence in interrupted when there appears Luisa : Alexandra Jimenez, his former flame and old love interest in the University, who is also hired in the company by Jaime. Thing go wrong when both, Jaime and Juán fall for her. "The superhero that this country does not need".
Diverting superhero movie based on comic books from Jan, with thrills, noisy action, twists, state-of-art FX , lots of humor and an amusing romance . It is an entertaining movie, resulting to be a pretty fun spoof of the known character Superman created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuter, here as a botcher hero with several troubles well played by Dani Rovira . A surrealist, hilarious, though uneven comedy, but it is also bold and intelligent, at times. Nice special effects and a script that does not take itself too seriously make this a decent movie. Promising satiric begins well , but ultimately defeated by cliched story and filmmaking, as well as tiring physical comedy. Daniel Rovira gives a sympathetic acting as the ordinary and anonymous office worker undergoing transformation into a special Spanish superhero. He is well accompanied by Alexandra Jimenez as his love interest, developing a triangular love story among Dani Rovira-Alexandra Jimenez-Julián López. Fine support cast formed by important secondaries as Julián López, Pedro Casablanc, Gracia Olayo, Gonzalo de Castro, Ferrán Rañe, among others . Special mention for Maribel Verdú as Agata, an extraterrestrial woman turned in CEO of her own and more notorious cleaner machine company all over the world.
Here stands out the colorful and brilliant cinematogaphy by Arnau Valls Colomer. As well as a thrilling and catching musical score by Fernando Velazquez. The motion picture was professionally directed by Javier Ruiz Caldera. The movie wion several prizes and nominations such as Cinema Writers Circle Award, Feroz Awards, Gaudi Awards, Sant Jordi and Goya Awards. Caldera is a prestigious editor and filmmaker, especially known for his hilarious films. A comedy expert who has made a few but successful films, such as : Spanish movie, Tres bodas más, Promoción fantasma and another rendition based on a comic book : Anacleto Agente Secreto. Rating 6.5/10. Decent superhero movie and enjoyable comedy.

- CuriosidadesBased in the popular Spanish comic book character created in 1973, it was originally designed as a Superman parody. Lopez being a very common surname in Spain, the concept was of an everyday Spaniard (similar to a John Smith in America) with superpowers.
