It's amusing nonsense.
If outrageously over-the-top camp dramas are your thing, you may just enjoy this long-forgotten series, very much along the same lines as Footballer's Wives, but amazingly even more trashy.
Sometimes a series with 6 or 8 episodes can become pedestrian and boring, with a mid-point lull; this certainly doesn't suffer that fate. It is wonderfully entertaining, funny, and cringeworthy in equal measure and incredibly outlandish.
It's wonderfully over the top; the scenes with Adam Leese (Felix) and his blow-up doll were just hilarious and a bit creepy at the same time, especially when they were sitting by his dead mother!
Sometimes the acting was a little on the dodgy side, but who cares? I thought Michelle Collins was rather good, but let's be honest, Cindy Beale herself is wasted here.
This show was sort of a cross between Footballers Wives and Dream Team, with all the fun of both. The series finale was great; I really enjoyed it. It was such a shame that we didn't get a second series.
8/10.
