His debut film Hello (2011), Smart Attempt (2012) and In Just Hours (2013) both as a writer and director were produced by Mariam Ndagire.

He met his role model Mira Nair at the 7th Maisha Film Lab.

[on the naming the Ugandan film industry 2012] Kinna-Uganda has something to do with mediocrity. We should follow the trends of other industries like Hollywood, Bollywood and Nollywood; let us call our film industry Ugawood.

[on an interview about growing up an orphan] It affected me so much having to adapt to different parenting and environments. I, however, used that plight to creatively put myself out.
