Mike decided against it, because he didn't feel like carrying around such a heavy piece of equipment, a decision that he regrets to this day.

His mother (born on the same day as Lynn Loring and one day after Robyn Hilton) had a morbid fear of flying to the extent that when she immigrated from French Morocco she was screaming and white knuckles in terror. So, to conquer her fear, she earned her pilot license in 1978.

Frequently says to female friends (and sometimes even to his mother) "don't act so surprised, your highness", if it's relevant. They rarely catch the reference, and he never explains it.

Legally changed his name to Michael Wayne Edgar Johansen on August 29, 1997.
