FM first discovered Ansel Faraj and his first Doctor Mabuse at the movie’s World Premiere on Coronado Island, CA, at the Coronado Village Theatre on April 27. The audience was enthralled by the dark and haunting handmade film, and perhaps not a little surprised that a man of barely drinking age helmed this intelligent, weirdly troubling, claustrophobic, quasi-detective story of evil, seemingly set in some period place in a parallel universe, though one disturbingly resembling our own.

Directed by Ansel Faraj, Doctor Mabuse stars Jerry Lacy in the title role along with Kathryn Leigh Scott and Lara Parker from the original "Dark Shadows" series, Linden Chiles, Nathan Wilson, Bahia Garrigan, and Julian Grant.
