Former Superman Henry Cavill will star in the upcoming live-action remake of the beloved ‘80s animated TV series Voltron, and the movie just got a major update. A post shared on Voltron Official's Instagram page shared the news along with a message from producer Bob Koplar. "Our live-action Voltron film has officially wrapped production, and we're Thrilled with how it all went," the message reads. "I've been with this franchise for years and can proudly say that this Will be theVoltron experience our fans have been dreaming of."

Koplar also told fans to sit tight for official news about the movie's launch. "There's been some chatter out there about the plans for the film's launch and we'd like to assure you, when official plans are set for the film, you will be the first to hear it right here. Stay with us! I promise it'll be worth the wait."

Man of Steel actor Henry Cavill has wrapped up filming Rawson Marshall Thurber’s film adaptation of the 1980s animated TV series Voltron. Cavill joined the film in October 2024, appearing in a supporting role alongside newcomer Daniel Quinn-Toye. The filming began in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, in December 2024.

Thurber earlier revealed that he was going to stay true to the spirit of the original TV series. Cavill is playing King Alfor, while Quinn-Toye plays the role of Shiro. While it was reported that the film will be released on Prime Video, the latest message seems to suggest otherwise.

Former Man of Steel and The Witcher, Henry Cavill, has several major projects in the works for Amazon. One such project is the live-action Voltron movie which, despite being something with major blockbuster potential, could suffer a somewhat unceremonious streaming fate.

No release date has yet been revealed for the Voltron adaptation, but the movie has amassed a star-studded cast for director Rawson Marshall Thurber’s sci-fi action outing. Despite all this, a new report (via GameRant) claims that Amazon is not planning to release Voltron in theaters, and will instead give the movie a straight-to-streaming release, much like Jake Gyllenhaal and Doug Liman’s Road House remake last year.

When it comes to epic fantasies, The Wheel of Time does not disappoint. It’s a vast world, filled with magic, drama, and romance. As you work through the third season, you’ll likely want to see something else similar. The great news is streamers have you covered with this genre.

Whether you want high fantasy or low fantasy, there is an epic story out there to follow. It’s all about finding the shows that connect to you the most, and then you’ll need to decide whether you want a series based on a book series or something completely unique and magical.

I’m not sure there’s another actress within the horror genre as loyal as Samara Weaving. Even as she branches out into other fare, she always makes her way back to the genre. Now, she’s teaming with her husband Jimmy Warden to give us some of his signature Cocaine Bear spirit (on which he was a writer). Borderline follows a 90s popstar who is being stalked by a man who’s living in a total fantasy world where he thinks he’s dating said popstar. While not quite as over the top as a bear killing people fueled on cocaine, Borderline certainly impresses (Check out my review Here).

Following a movie about a rampaging, coke-fueled bear was never going to be easy, but Cocaine Bear writer Jimmy Warden is giving it his best shot with the comic thriller Borderline (out now), which he also directed. A twisted look at the dark side of fame, it stars Samara Weaving, Warden’s wife, as a Nineties pop star who has to fend off a sociopathic stalker who’s convinced he and the object of his obsession are meant to be married.
