Earthquake Underground is a low-budget disaster thriller with a wild premise: a high-rise hotel under renovation collapses straight down into the earth following a massive earthquake, trapping a small group of people deep underground. Among them are an architect named Brian and his pregnant, diabetic girlfriend Amy, who must navigate the treacherous, crumbling structure to find a way to the surface.

It’s a B-movie premise that had potential to be tense and claustrophobic, but the film struggles to rise above its limitations. The characters are mostly cardboard cutouts, behaving in ways that defy logic or emotional weight. Full Moon founder Charles Band announced very recently that the Puppet Master spin-off Doktor Death will be available to watch on the Full Moon Features streaming service as of October 28th – and with that date only a week away, a trailer for Doktor Death has arrived online! Back in 2020, Full Moon brought us the first “solo puppet” Puppet Master spin-off, Blade: The Iron Cross. Doktor Death was announced soon after the release of that one, and at the time Blade: The Iron Cross director John Lechago was expected to return to the helm. By the time filming began, Dave Parker was in the director’s chair. Parker’s previous directing credits include The Dead Hate the Living! and The Hills Run Red, plus a segment of the anthology Tales of Halloween.

Full Moon has just wrapped production on their new Puppet Master spin-off Doktor Death, directed by Dave Parker. We don’t have release information on the movie just yet, but as it heads into post-production we’re proud to share a batch of Exclusive images from the set.
