Aaron 'Ike' Isaacson
Aaron Isaacson was born in Kansas.
2003: Joined the U.S. Army as an Officer in order to serve after the devastating impact of Sept. 11, 2001.
2004-2005: Deployed to Al Anbar Province, Iraq, and served on joint operations with the U.S. Marine Corps. He conducted night ground operations with the U.S. Marine Corps during the Battle of Fallujah in December of 2004. Mr. Isaacson earned the Purple Heart medal during a combat operation in May 2005.
2006: Deployed to Baghdad, Iraq as an Infantry Platoon Leader.
2007-2008: Deployed to Paktika Province, Camp Tillman, Afghanistan. Serving as an Embedded Training Team (ETT) leader of an Afghan National Army (ANA) Infantry company of 120 soldiers conducting air assault combat operations along the Pakistan border. His deployment ended after breaking his leg during a combat operation in a small village on the Pakistan border.
2010: Summited Mount Lobuche in Nepal with other wounded veterans and famous blind climber Erik Weihenmayer. The expedition was called "Soldiers to the Summit" and subsequently became the award-winning documentary film "High Ground." Other versions of the film included "Climbing Home" on PBS.
2011: Television Debut - Aaron Ike Isaacson was a cast member of "Expedition Impossible" on the ABC Network. This was a Mark Burnett Production filmed in Morocco. Team 'No Limits' consisted of Aaron Isaacson, Jeff Evans, and Erik Weihenmayer. Erik Weihenmayer is a successful blind mountaineer and athlete that had summited all of the Seven Summits. Overall, team No Limits came in 2nd place after Ike re-injured his leg in the competition.
2012 - 2014: US Embassy Armenia - Intelligence Officer serving at the U.S. Embassy in Yerevan, Armenia.
2013: Summited Mt. Ararat, Turkey.
2015 - 2018: Lived in Africa working with Anti-Human Trafficking entities.
2017: Summited Mt. Elbrus, Russia. August 23, 2017. (1st of the Seven Summits)
2020: Summited Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa. December 17, 2020. (2nd of the Seven Summits)
2024: Summited Mt. Kosciuszko in Australia. February 18, 2024. (3rd of the Seven Summits)
