Every Song Featured In Season 3 Of Stranger Things
The very binge-worthy third season of Stranger Things is so good that fans are already clamoring for the next batch of episodes. Of course, the latest chapter in the supernatural saga was filled with plenty of shocking moments and nostalgic references, which were only heightened by the stellar soundtrack in the background.

Each track was specifically chosen to fit both the scene and keep with the time period of the show, and here’s a complete list (put together by the folks at Screen Rant) of every song featured this season, as well as the moments they coincided with:

“Chapter One: Suzie, Do You Copy?”

“Never Surrender” by Corey Hart: Eleven and Mike kiss in her bedroom. “Rock This Town” by Stray Cats: Townsfolk are having fun in the community pool. “Workin’ For A Livin'” by Huey Lewis and The News: Nancy hurries to work to deliver lunch. “She...

Lorne Balfe’s Score For The Lego® Batman Movie Available February 3 On CD/Digital
WaterTower Music has announced the February 3 CD and digital release of the soundtrack to the new animated adventure “The Lego® Batman Movie,” one week before the film opens in theatres on February 10. The collection features new music from Dnce, Alex Aiono, Patrick Stump, Oh, Hush! feat. Will Arnett and Jeff Lewis, Kirsten Arian, Justin Tranter, and more. The album also includes 16 of the film’s score cues by Grammy-winning composer Lorne Balfe, and Chad Smith (Red Hot Chilli Peppers) on drums.

The film’s director Chris McKay describes Balfe as “one of the most talented and versatile people I’ve ever met.”

“Chris is an encyclopedic reference for action hero films, but to him the important thing is the heart of the story, so I didn’t think of it as a comic, but as real, live action,” offers Balfe. “Every scene is amazing. After the first day working on the film,...

Hot Rod at 10: looking back at an underappreciated film
Gem Wheeler Aug 15, 2017

2007s' Hot Rod arrives at its tenth birthday - and there's plenty here to celebrate...

Stuntman extraordinaire Rod Kimble is about to face the challenge of his life. If he can jump fifteen buses on his motorbike – that’s one more than Evel Knievel; you can check, online – and raise the $50,000 required for his stepdad Frank’s life-saving surgery, he’ll be acclaimed as a hero. Far more importantly, he’ll also be able to kick Frank’s ass. Rod’s been mocked and bullied by his stepdad for a long time. This is his chance to prove himself as a man, gain Frank’s respect, and win the heart of his next-door neighbour, Denise. There’s only one problem: Rod’s never actually managed to perform a stunt successfully. Ancestors, protect him…

Since its release in 2007, Hot Rod’s gradually attained the well-deserved cult classic status...

Legends Of Tomorrow "Compromised" Review
"Highway To The Danger Zone"

Legends of Tomorrow has become one of my top three favorite shows this season. Transitioning to this season you could tell the writers and producers listened to their audience and focused on the elements of the show that worked. Compromised was a great example of everything that works with this show. Time Traveling to a period of time that is relevant and incorporating references that a majority of the audience knows really well. While the actual reason for the team to travel to the 1980’s still remains a mystery this episode did not disappoint. Here are the three takeaways I took from last nights episode.

1. Traveling to the 1980’s was the best time period so far the team has been too. All of the 80’s references were on point from the music choice of Kenny Loggins “Danger Zone” and Cutting Crew’s Classic “I Just...

Agents of Shield, Ep. 2.21-22, “Sos Part 1 and 2″: Goodbye, Cal
Agents of Shield, Season 2, Episode 21: “Sos Part 1”

Written by Jeffrey Bell

Directed by Vincent Misiano

Agents of Shield, Season 2, Episode 22: “Sos Part 2”

Written by Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen

Directed by Billy Gierhart

Airs Tuesdays at 9pm (Et) on ABC

Audiences should consider themselves warned that “Sos”, the two-part season 2 finale of Agents of Shield, does not mess around. Five named characters (plus two very unlucky Shield redshirts) die, Coulson loses his forearm like Ash from Evil Dead, and Simmons is dragged off, Drag Me to Hell-style, by that mysterious Kree stone. (Did the writers have a Sam Raimi marathon just before writing this episode?) A few storylines get resolved, like the May-Dr. Garner relationship and Cal protecting Skye, but there is also a lot of set-up for season 3 in the midst of this epic showdown between Shield and Jiaying. For everything it is setting up, however,...

El Rey Network Launches First Unscripted Series ‘Cutting Crew’
El Rey Network has begun production on eight hourlong episodes of Cutting Crew, the network’s first unscripted original series. It has been been set to premiere in the fall. The series centers on award-winning barber Amit Corso and his raucous team at their shop on the outskirts of Philadelphia, where they execute cutting-edge cuts while finding plenty of time to bicker, debate and joke around. Production kickoff comes on the heels of El Rey’s success launching its first original scripted series, From Dusk Till Dawn, which was picked up for a second season last month two weeks after it bowed. (The network’s second scripted series, the Roberto Orci- and Alex Kurtzman-scripted Matador, is in production for a July bow after the World Cup.) Cutting Crew is produced by Big Vida Entertainment for El Rey Network. Sergio Alfaro, Flavio Morales, John Ehrhard and FactoryMade Ventures executive...

Tim Rooney in A Cidade dos Gigantes (1965)
'X Factor' Recap: Carlos Guevara Goes Home
Tim Rooney in A Cidade dos Gigantes (1965)
Chug, chug, chug. The X Factor keeps lurching along despite an embarrassing voting glitch and record-low ratings. And it's doubtful its lackluster, borderline unwatchable Eighties night will help matters.

After last week's clusterfuck that saw all of America's votes thrown out on the very first night viewers had their say, it's hard to feel invested. And since the show had to scrap last week's elimination in favor of a do-over, they unceremoniously tossed Boys category member Carlos Guevara at the beginning of this week's show. (What gives with not bringing...

The X Factor Recap: Eighties Is Enough
The X Factor (2011)
Informal poll time, X Factor watchers!

The most confounding portion of tonight’s Top 12 performance telecast was:

A. Paulina Rubio’s continued employment in the face of her enthusiastic incompetence

B. Paulina’s insistence on using the word “America” while introducing her acts (Gurrl, it’ll take more than that to win us over, I’m afraid)

C. The screaming of the lambs audience

D. Mario Lopez’s obscene attempt to recreate a classic Michael Jackson dance move

E. Writhing ladies leading into various ad breaks (I didn’t hallucinate that, did I?)

F. The inclusion of an interpretive dance...

'X Factor' Top 12: Josh Levi owns '80s night
When we join "The X Factor," host Mario Lopez informs us that it's '80s night -- but he emphasizes hits from the nineteen-eighties, which really makes us wonder if he thinks anybody is confused it might be the eighteen-eighties.

Meanwhile, the female judges are decked out in their best '80s attire, which is awesome. Scroogey old Simon, however, cannot be bothered to put a suit jacket on over his plain white t-shirt and rock a Crockett and/or Tubbs look. For shame, Cowell.

However, we must eliminate someone first. You know, we hope they told the act who was eliminated last week when it actually happened so that he or she didn't have to rehearse all this week like normal. That just seems mean.

Anyway, Carlos Guevara is eliminated and for once, America got it exactly right. He had a couple very rough nights, he shouldn't have advanced out of the four-chair challenge.

'The Voice': Sarah Simmons and Warren Stone make this knockout round choice impossible
Someone on Adam Levine's team had to go up against Sarah Simmons in the knockout rounds on "The Voice," but why did it have to be Warren Stone? Why, oh why, indeed.

Surely Levine had a different sacrificial lamb to face slaughter up against Simmons on night one of the knockouts on Monday (April 29). On a night that saw Amber Carrington and Midas Whale get paired up in a rather "meh"-inducing knockout round, leaving Stone to the final round with Simmons was a strange move on Levine's part.

Things only grew more unfair when Stone proved to be a revelation by stepping outside the country genre for the first time with Cutting Crew's "(I Just) Died in Your Arms." His performance was the moment when an artist found his sound. He'd never sounded better, but even he must've known he was going home.

How couldn't he when...

'The Voice' live blog: The knockout rounds begin
With just one more week before the live playoffs in Season 4 of "The Voice," it's time for the knockout rounds, wherein coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Shakira and Usher once again force one of their artists to compete another, deciding who stays and who goes. Who will make it to the live shows? Only time will tell.

First Knockout: Team Adam - Amber Carrington vs. Midas Whale

Songs: "I'm With You" - Avril Lavigne (Amber); "Higher Ground" - Stevie Wonder (Midas Whale)

Performances: Amber sounds incredible on Avril's overused and, at times, tepid track. It's nice to hear her step outside of the country zone we've heard her in thus far. I hadn't been too fond of Midas Whale prior to this, finding them to play more the role of backup artists in their battle rounds. It was nice to have them put down the guitars and put on a show.

Shakira
The Voice Recap: Rock Out With Your Knockout
Shakira
For a show that’s all about good vibrations and international warm fuzzies, The Voice can sometimes be a frustrating mistress.

Take, for example, the Season 4 Knockout Rounds, where Adam Levine and Shakira all too often pitted their best singers against each other in sudden-death faceoffs, while allowing lesser vocalists to slip into the live voting rounds like mold on the underside of a package of blackberries. (Yeah, I know, that metaphor didn’t quite work, but at three bucks a container, you’d think those juicy little treats would last more than 24 hours in the fridge. Sheesh!)

But if...

This Grease reunion is not the one that I want | Rhiannon Lucy Cosslett
Few musical reunions are anything better than schmaltzy and many are far worse. But I still long for the Smiths to return

As a Grease fan, I approached the news that John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John have reunited for a charity with cautious optimism. Could they ever recapture the electrified magic of You're the One That I Want? I was hoping for a moment akin to that of Sonny and Cher's famous 1987 Letterman reunion. Naff, admittedly, but also strangely touching. I'll admit that seeing the way their hairstyles had transformed (Sonny's definitely had an inverse relationship to Cher's) as they sang I Got You Babe for the first time since 1975 brought a tear to the eye.

But it was not to be. Instead, I was treated to a low-budget home video of Danny and Sandy line dancing, set to a backing track of bland country-inspired Aor irrelevance, followed by...

Tulisa at an event for A Saga Crepúsculo: Amanhecer - Parte 1 (2011)
Gary Barlow: 'Tulisa has fag ash breath'
Tulisa at an event for A Saga Crepúsculo: Amanhecer - Parte 1 (2011)
Gary Barlow and Tulisa have become embroiled in a spat live on The X Factor tonight (October 17). Tulisa began criticising Barlow and his act Christopher Maloney after he performed Cutting Crew's hit '(I Just) Died in Your Arms'. She explained: "I thought your vocals were very strong," before turning to Barlow and saying: "How many of these '80s classics are you going to let him keep destroying? Every week he's getting the same critique from all of the judges. I even feel bad having to say the same thing." Barlow then responded to Tulisa, saying: "I don't know what's offended me more. What you've said or your fag ash breath." Tulisa, looking aghast, replied: "Just a note for Gary - lay off the red wine because (more)...

Simon Cowell wants Maloney out of X Factor?
Gary Barlow slammed Tulisa Contostavlos' ''fag ash breath'' on last night's (27.10.12) 'X Factor'. The Take That frontman hit out at his fellow judge after she criticised his song choice for Christopher Maloney, who performed Cutting Crew's '(I Just) Died in Your Arms'. After praising the quality of Christopher's vocals, Tulisa turned to Gary and said: ''How many of these '80s classics are you going to let him keep destroying? Every week he's getting the same critique from all of the judges. I even feel bad having to say the same thing.'' Gary lashed out in response, saying: ''I don't know what's offended...

Is Justin Bieber’s New Song About His Sexy Nights With Selena Gomez?
Justin slows things down for his latest single 'Die In Your Arms.' Is he singing about his late-night activities with Selena? Justin Bieber's latest track "Die In Your Arms" is the perfect mood music! With a slow beat and a retro R&B sound, it's the perfect song to play for quiet night inside -- and maybe that's exactly what the 18-year-old heart throb is singing about! Just read these sexy lyrics: "If I couls just die in your arms / I wouldn’t mind / Cause everytime you touch me / I just die in your arms / Oh but it feels so right / So baby baby baby please don’t stop, girl." In a similarly titled '80s song "(I Just) Died in Your Arms" by Cutting Crew, band member Nick Van Eede said the lyrics came to him while he was having sex with his girlfriend. In the song,...

Listen: Justin Bieber Goes Old School With New Single
Justin Bieber
Just one day after getting into an alleged physical altercation with a paparazzo, Justin Bieber has released his new single, "Die In Your Arms".

Unfortunately, it isn't a reworked version of Cutting Crew's 1986 hit "(I Just) Died In Your Arms" -- because we really need that to happen -- but the new track does have a decidedly retro feel.

Scooter Braun, Bieber's manager, described the song on Twitter as having an "Old School Jackson 5 vibe". Musically, "Die In Your Arms" is a classic pop song, with a catchy chorus and a steady, uptempo beat.

"Die In Your Arms" is the eighth track on Believe, Bieber's third studio release, and -- according to the track list released last week -- Drake, Nicki Minaj, Big Sean and Ludacris are all featured on the new album.

Bieber's first single off Believe, "Boyfriend", debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was...

Movie Review: 'Hot Tub Time Machine' a fun, corny 80's flashback
It's so silly that it just might really make you laugh. Plus the super 80's soundtrack includes such gems as 'Turn Up the Radio' bu Def Leppard, 'Home Sweet Home' by Motley Crue as well as 'Keep your Eye on the Money' and Cutting Crew's 'I Just Died in Your Arms Tonight', Most enjoyable is a live brief performance of 'Jesse's Girl.'However, it's a typical time machine movie cliche' originating most popularly from 'Back to the Future.' Perhaps with a few more modern day jokes such as dissing Miley Cyrus. High school...

Blu-Ray Review: Comedy Water is Fine in ‘Hot Tub Time Machine’
Chicago – The most spoiler-named film since “Snakes on a Plane” delivers exactly what it promises with its goofy title. When you go into something like “Avatar” or “The White Ribbon,” you may not know what to expect, but there’s no surprise when a film calls itself “Hot Tub Time Machine.” It’s not a perfect comedy but it’s a heck of a lot closer than most of its recent genre peers and should satisfy those wanting to take an HD dip.

Blu-Ray Rating: 3.5/5.0

A parody and ode to ’80s pop culture, “Hot Tub Time Machine” is reminiscent of comedies of a quarter-century ago like “Weird Science” or “Better Off Dead” with stars of the period like John Cusack, Chevy Case, and Crispin Glover, a soundtrack that uses Motley Crue liberally, and a goofy tone that was more common in the era of the brat pack. In other words,...

'One Tree Hill' 7.08 Preview: I (Just) Died in Your Arms Tonight
It's men-only and girls night on "One Tree Hill" November 2 episode. Julian agrees to a weekend camping trip but struggles to fit in with Nathan and the guys. Back in Tree Hill, Brooke and Haley spend Girl's Night doing a little bonding of their own.

Meanwhile, Quinn helps Clay come to terms with a tragic loss. And Dan and Rachel's (guest star Danneel Harris) past catches up to them. Called "I (Just) Died in Your Arms Tonight", the episode borrows its title from Cutting Crew's 1986 single.

Announcing its November sweeps schedule, The CW unraveled that an episode will be directed by its star, Sophia Bush. "Now You Lift Your Eyes to the Sun" which airs on November 7 sees her character's romance with Julian in jeopardy. Bush is not the only star of the show that gets to direct an episode.
