Studied English literature and drama at the University of Birmingham, graduating in 2002 with first class honors.

Became involved in drama at the age of four.

Engaged to actress Lizzy Caplan, July 2016.

In 2014 won the BAFTA Cymru award for Best Actor for his role in the series Os Demônios de Da Vinci (2013).

Spent his school years writing and directing plays.

Set up a small theater company before starting a three-year acting course at London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA), completing his studies in 2005.

Has starred twice alongside Elliot Cowan in Lost in Austen (2008) and in Os Demônios de Da Vinci (2013).

In 2012 was nominated for best featured actor in a play for Tom Stoppard's Arcadia on Broadway at the Drama Desk Awards.
