Jackson Rathbone has been keeping himself very busy since wrapping up "Breaking Dawn" earlier this year. The "Twilight" star is currently on the road with his band, 100 Monkeys, hitting towns all across the U.S. before taking their act overseas later this year.

The band, which recently released its second full-length studio album, Liquid Zoo, stopped by the MTV Newsroom to give us a sneak peek at what fans can expect from its usually unexpected live shows.

"It's a raucous, theatrical live set, constantly switching instruments and singers and jumping and running around onstage, very interactive with the audience," Ben Graupner said. HollywoodNews.com: Twilight star Jackson Rathbone and his band, 100 Monkeys, have hit the road this summer on a headlining tour throughout the U.S. and Canada. On July 12th, the funk-rock band plays Boston, Ma and will continue through August 28th, concluding in San Diego, CA.

“We are excited to get back out on the road this summer,” says Rathbone. “We can’t wait to rock out with our fans, and we look forward to some great shows.”

100 Monkeys, comprised of Jackson Rathbone, Ben Graupner, Jerad Anderson, Lawrence “Uncle Larry” Abrams and Ben Johnson , are multi-instrumentalists known for their raucous, theatrical live-sets, where they switch instruments and lead vocals on almost every song.

The idea that the 100 Monkeys should appear on the official soundtrack for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse has been floating around for quite some time.

The band, made popular in part thanks to its member and Twilight star Jackson Rathbone, has been vetted for a spot on the album by a great many Twilight fans over the past few months.

Several of the band's members did an interview recently with TMCnet, and during the discussion, Ben Graupner (a.k.a. "Ben G") talked about that very possibility.

As filming wraps this week on "Eclipse," and "New Moon" is mere weeks away from invading theaters nationwide, we are pleased to report that Jackson Rathbone is alive and well. A few vampire scuffles in Vancouver can't take down the immortal Jasper Hale.

Recently, we caught up with the actor/ 100 Monkeys frontman to talk about what might be his final days as Stephenie Meyer's endearing Confederate vampire. The fan fave was eager to talk about jamming with Robert Pattinson, exploring Jasper's backstory in "Eclipse," and setting his own face on fire.

Jackson Rathbone was born in Singapore on December 21, 1984 and has lived in places ranging from Indonesia to Midland, Texas. He started out in local theatre, The Pickwick Players. In high school he went to Interlochen, a private school for the arts in Michigan. After graduation, he had planned to go to the Royal Scottish Academy, but went to Los Angeles to experiment with the big screen. He immediately signed onto Disney's 411. He had a leading role in the ABC show Beautiful People, which premiered in Autumn of 2005. When he's not busy pursuing his television and film career, he enjoys music, writing, singing, and producing. He enjoys playing his guitar and other musical instruments such as the harmonica.
