- Since he did not have a short film, first time writer/director Joaquin F. Palma proved his skills to the Executive Producer by story boarding many sequences shot by shot.
- Wrote Horror 88 on a one month deadline, and turned in the first draft two weeks early.
- His biggest inspirations as a filmmaker include John Carpenter, Robert Rodriguez, David Fincher and Paul Thomas Anderson.
- His debut film, Horror 88, was inspired by Rod Serling's work on The Twilight Zone (1959-1964) as well as Stephen King and George A. Romero's work on creep show (1982).
