I hate around 90% of the human race. That being said, few people can appreciate a little Solitude more than I can. Check out trailer number two for the latest indie film to come our way, and celebrate silence. I know I do.

Written and directed by Taylor Scott Olson and Livingston Oden, the film stars Armin Habibovich, Victoria Lachelle, Brent Latchaw, Alex Cotant, Glen Stone, Kelly Lavasseur, Amy Correll, and Nicole Kruex.

Solitude is a horror feature film that takes place over a span of 75 years on a mysterious riverfront piece of land where an ancient evil dwells. The story will be told in six segments, each of them taking place in a different time period and made to look like horror films from the era when they take place.

Melanie Robel has only been acting in the "biz" for a few short years and she's already added the "executive producer" status to her resume with the upcoming Post Mortem America: 2021. Check out the interview below where she talks about her projects, what she does in her spare time and her guilty pleasures. Melanie also surfs and I needs me some lessons, I wonder if she's up for this kinf of task? Brian S- Hi Melanie, so how'd you get into acting?

Melanie- When I was very young we discovered that I was able to memorize movie dialogs by listening, and then I would do one man shows. Complete with voice and expression changes. I remember my sisters and I would reenact the songs in Annie.

Know what we can never have too many of? Ghost stories, that's what. Just like zombie flicks, these other dead things that go bump in the night are much beloved by horror hounds everywhere, and with good reason. When done right, they can be downright terrifying! There's a new one on the way that will hopefully make the cut ... Next Door.

Actress and model Melanie Robel is a self-described, modern day gypsy. Her affinity for travel has served her well, allowing her to take advantage of acting roles where ever the opportunity arises. What kind of roles? She’s played a post-apocalyptic assassin, a monster in a bikini, and an even worse kind of monster: a bitchy, wannabe model!

One thing Melanie doesn’t play at though is her career. She’s not afraid to try challenging new roles. That’s how this young actress has amassed an impressive list of credits in just a few short years! Melanie took a short break from her work to talk to B Movie Man Nic Brown about making movies, her secret vice, and why we might think she’s nerdy, but dedicated to the art of acting!

Nvf Magazine founder David Byron recently interviewed a bunch of women (including Pretty/Scary's editor Heidi Martinuzzi) for a book on chicks in horror movies called Queens of Scream: The New Blood.

Also interviewed were Brenna Lee Roth (Killer Biker Chicks, Grind House Glory), Scarlet Salem (Killer Biker Chicks), Bianca Barnett (Albino Farm), Nicole Kruex (aka Nikki Homicide K, Zen: Hunter), Rachel Grubb (13 Hours in a Warehouse), Seregon O’Dassey (Ghost Watcher 2, False Face), Evie Effects, April Monique Burril (Chainsaw Sally), and Monique Dupree (Bachelor Party in the Bungalow of the Damned) plus a special guest appearance by former Hammer Films starlet Ingrid Pitt, whose portrayal of Countess Dracula gave a new meaning to the term Scream Queen long before it became popular for future generations of horror film fans.
