- Self confidence is very important in today's society. Feeling beautiful is a part of that. It is imperative for people to understand that beauty is what is on the inside, not the outside. You have to first have inner-beauty to exude outer beauty. It has always been my belief, even through my non-profit organization that I run, that true beauty is not something you can see. Not your weight, height, hair color or physical features. Team True Beauty seems to stand behind that idea and I support it!
- There's always someone, somewhere in the world that has it worse than they do. I have traveled to one of the largest slums in Africa and have seen it first hand. So trust me, if you think you're having a bad day or aren't feeling "hot" think about kids who are starving or don't have access to clean water- or even hand soap for that matter. For the people struggling to see their own, I would advise them to take something they are passionate about and turn it in to a charity project to make a difference in the world. For example, I took pageants and kids diagnosed with cancer and turned it in to an international cause. I hold pageants for kids who are sick or disabled where every child leaves as a winner. It is called the "Pageant of Hope". We focus on self esteem and self confidence. We dress them up, teach them the pageant walk, fix their hair and make-up, and carry out the entire pageant process. At the end of the day, we crown every child- boy or girl- a title such as "Best Dressed" or "Most Confident". It has been proven that raising overall well being and self esteem can boost these children in to remission faster. These children are more beautiful and heroic than any person I have ever met.
