Darren Press(II)

Darren Press is a Director/Writer/Producer/Editor from NYC and a founding partner of the production company A May Sky Picture Entertainment. He co-directed and produced the award-winning feature film Theresa is a Mother starring Edie McClurg which premiered on Netflix in 2016 (now on Amazon). He was co producer/writer/director and the editor of the animated short A Cow in the Sky (World Premiere Tribeca Festival) based on a true story and featuring voiceover by Grammy nominee Aminé. Darren also produced and edited the 2022 comedy Too Many Buddhas (World Premiere/Winner Montreal's Just For Laughs Comedy Festival) starring Maria Bamford (Netflix's Lady Dynamite) and Maeve Press (Hulu's Everything's Gonna be Okay). Darren has produced numerous Drama Desk award-winning Off-Broadway plays including the critically acclaimed Cobb and the musical Woody Guthrie's American Song. As an advertising creative director and content developer, Darren has developed campaigns for many brands including WBLS FM, Ace Hardware, Boogie Board, and Olympus America. He is also an Emerging Member of the new Producers Union.
