[2012] It wasn't like I had a hard time as a child and like I had to fight in order to be able to go my own way. I had a very straight and sheltered childhood, it was all beautiful, I even was a good student. I had friends, and my parents had little trouble with me.

I know many actors who are a little withdrawn, self-reflective or even a little self-doubting. With comedians, it is often the other way around.

[2012] My older sister was a member of our school's theater club. She wanted me to join them, but I resisted. I was too shy for that back then. She kept asking me to until I did it. There, I really came out of my shell during an improvisation, which worked great and also received a lot of attention: The adrenaline kick of having overcome my own fear released something positive. Everyone laughed, and from then on, I was completely thrilled about this. It then became my favorite hobby. And that's how it still is today: I still have terrible stage fright nowadays. This kick of having overcome your own fear just feels good. It's that skydiving feeling. Shortly before, you are thinking: Why am I doing all this here? And when it then worked out well, it results in a feeling of elation. As I said: To this day, I am very prone to stage fright, especially on television in front of a large audience. It is part of [my job].
