Carlos Olivarez
- Ator
Carlos was born and raised in Dallas, TX and will probably always be a Texan. He is happily married and has 5 adult children, including one daughter in law. His day job in working in IT and has grown that career over several years by combining his technical expertise with his creative side. He keeps himself busy by being active in his church and community, volunteering to serve those in need.
He has been a storyteller all his life but did not start doing anything professionally until later in life. He started taking acting classes and acting in plays while living in Tennessee. He found that voice overs came natural to him and started working with a group to produce Old Time Radio Plays. He has performed in 16 radio plays such as Dick Tracy, Sherlock Holmes, A Christmas Carol, Popeye, Pinocchio, Blondie, and many others. He is not afraid to stretch his comfort zone and takes on roles that will allow him to explore other personas that are contrary to his own.
In "The Proposal" (Anton Chekhov), Carlos played the role of Chubukov, an overprotective father, that puts a suitor through the wringer and could see that unfolding in his own life once his daughter gets to that point. He also played an abusive husband in the play "When You Go To The Pit Of Hell To Find A Husband". That was a stretch because it was pretty far off from this real husband in a loving relationship.
Carlos will continue to explore his acting career, not only in dramatic roles but in comedy as well. His training continues as he builds his skills in acting and improv with various instructors. Be on the lookout for Carlos in various commercials online as he provides social media clips for clients as well as other voice over projects.
