(November 17, 2012) Married her boyfriend of 2 years David Mitchell following a 8-month-long engagement. They first met at a film premiere in 2007, but that three years passed before they properly got together.

She is a world-renowned poker player and has even been known to describe herself as a "professional gambler". Shortly before marrying, she won over £300,000 in an international competition.

Gave birth to her first child at age 42, a daughter named Barbara Elizabeth June Mitchell on May 22, 2015. Child's father is her husband, David Mitchell.

Followed in the footsteps of her father Alan Coren when, in the early 1990s, she put her own comedy review show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

She is credited with the pseudonym 'Geri Wiley' when submitting questions to Only Connect (2008), alongside her other credits under her real name as presenter, script associate and executive producer. The name Geri Wiley is a homage to British actor and comedian Ronnie Barker, who used the name 'Gerald Wiley' when submitting scripts and sketches for inclusion in his long-running comedy show The Two Ronnies (1971).

In an early segment of "Only Connect", she made a slip of the tongue when she unintentionally referred to the 19th-century French actress Sarah Bernhardt as "Sandra Bernhard", the present-day American comedy actress.
