- Curt Ackermann nasceu o 8 de abril de 1905 na Alemanha. Era ator e foi conhecido pelo seu trabalho em Der verzauberte Tag (1944), Großstadtmelodie (1943) e Die lustigen Weiber (1936). Morreu em 1988 em Munique, Baviera, Alemanha do Oeste.
- A prominent German dubbing voice, he was Richard Carlson in It Came From Outer Space, Robert Mitchum in Night of the Hunter, Dr. Kaufman, the pod's spokesman (Larry Gates) in Invasion of the Body Snatchers and Vincent Price in the first few Corman/Poe movies, as well as Cary Grant.
- He was also active as a dialog writer, among others he wrote the German dialog for "That Touch of Mink" and "Breakfast at Tiffany's".
- Curt Ackermann only appeared in two more movies as an actor after the war - "Sag' die Wahrheit" (1946) and "Der Kaplan von Lorenzo" (1952).
- His greatest successes he had at the theater where he impersonated many roles. Especially his impressive voice had a great fascination.
- After the war he entered a new career with dubbing foreign movies. His voice which was regarded as one of the most masculine and high-classest of his era was very catchy, moreover he knew his trade like on one else.
