Stefen owns and operates a vintage furniture restoration and sales company with his spouse Freda. Their company, Full Circle Furniture, sells furniture to film and TV productions, and to consumers.

Stefen has dual Canadian and Swiss citizenship, and is a mix of Swiss, Romanian and German ethnicity.

He studied Political Science, but Stefen grow up on a farm in rural Canada and worked labour or trades for much of his life. He even worked in remote and extreme northern regions as an industrial pipefitter.
