Days of our Lives spoilers for Friday, August 1, kick off the new month with a new potentially sizzling couple as Sarah and Brady find more and more things they have in common.

Brady and Sarah Bond

Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) and Brady (Eric Martsolf) have known each other forever. Yet, to quote Beauty and the Beast, “there might be something there that wasn’t there before.”

Sarah and Brady are definitely growing closer, and a big part of the reason is Rachel (Alice Halsey). Sarah raised her as Mackenzie for a year before the baby switch was revealed and the tot was turned over to Kristen (Stacy Haiduk). Kristen will never forgive Sarah for that. And her dislike was from before Brady and Sarah hooked up… and formed a sweet little family with Rachel.

In the meantime, Marlena (Deidre Hall) has some questions for her granddaughter. Is it about the night Ej (Dan Feuerriegel) was shot…...

With that in mind, on Wednesday, July 30th, we’ve got Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) confronting Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd). She knows that Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) and Tate Black (Leo Howard) were lied to about the sex of the baby because Rachel Black (Alice Halsey) was talking about it being a little girl and she had bought the bunny. But Sarah knows it was a little boy in Sophia’s belly.

And Sarah may try and harass some info out of Sophia.

In the Wednesday, July 30 episode of Days of Our Lives, Amy takes Sophia to the hospital, where Sophia must deal with a curious Sarah. Holly meets up with a sad and disappointed Tate, but she manages to lift his spirits with her news. Johnny and Chanel decompress after the first day of Johnny’s trial. And Belle and Ej clash.

It Wasn’t a Girl

When Amy (Shi Ne Nielson) takes Sophia (Rachel Boyd) to the hospital to ensure she doesn’t have an infection, Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) has the perfect opportunity to talk to Sophia about a certain discrepancy. The doctor knows that Sophia was set to have a boy. Meanwhile, the teen is telling everybody who will listen that she had a girl.

So Sarah needs Sophia to set things straight. What’s the real story? Funny enough, Sophia does tell her the story, but we’re not privy to the particulars.

Is Peacock’s Days of Our Lives poised to lose one of its longest-running cast members/characters?

Apparently, that question has been thrust in front of fans of the nearly 60-year-old sudser, in the form of alarmist “news” stories shared by sketchy Facebook accounts and the like, claiming that Suzanne Rogers, 82, is leaving the role of Maggie Horton after a 52-year run.

She’s a medical jack of all trades!) Which is why Sarah recalls that Sophia and Tate (Leo Howard) were having a baby boy.

And yet Brady (Eric Martsolf) told her otherwise. Of course, he and Tate never got to see the child (though who can tell with a clothed newborn?). So Sarah decides to question Sophia before she says anything.

When Tate heard screaming, he found the door, kicked it in, and rescued Holly (Ashley Puzemis). Ari, after trying to escape through an air vent, was rescued by Javi (Al Calderon) after it collapsed. At the end, Tate received a text from Sophia (Rachel Boyd) telling him she’s in labor.

Days of Our Lives is not going anywhere anytime soon. Peacock has renewed the soap opera for two more seasons. This will keep the series on the air through its 63rd season.

Days of our Lives continues to soar on Peacock after its move from NBC in 2022. With it doing well comes an announcement about the future of the hit soap opera. Days of our Lives will continue airing on Peacock for at least two more seasons, bringing it through Season 63. That is an impressive feat for a soap, especially after many were canceled and pulled off the air.

According to Deadline, Days of our Lives, the Peacock-exclusive soap, was greenlit for Seasons 62 and 63 with the renewal. Season 61 is airing, which means there is plenty more storytelling out of Salem to come. It has been a tough year for the cast and crew of Days of our Lives as they mourned the loss of star Drake Hogestyn, who played John Black, and before that, Bill Hayes, who played Doug Williams on the soap for decades.

‘Days of our Lives’ Garners 13 Daytime...

Days of Our Lives sees Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) is on her way back to Salem to offer her support during the criminal trial, and I suspect we’re going to get a psychic shocker from the great beyond that could help answer some questions about the shooting.

I am thrilled that Stacy Haiduk is doing double duty and returning to her role as Ej Dimera‘s (Dan Feuerriegel) cookie soothsayer mother Susan Banks.

Last time Ej’s messy but adorable mom was in Salem, he was getting ready to come out of that coma. Susan sensed that Belle Black (Martha Madison) had fallen in love with her son Ej and then he miraculously woke up. Now Susan’s back to Salem and ready to help both Johnny Dimera (Carson Boatman) and Ej during the trial of the summer. And of course,...

In the Friday, July 25 episode of Days of Our Lives, Susan felt strange vibes from Marlena. Gabi and Gwen faced off in Horton Town Square. While several moments turned out to be emotional moments of goodness, one made us unexpectedly emotional.

Emotional Moment #1: Belle Supports Marlena

After passing out in the courtroom, Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) checked out Marlena (Deidre Hall) at the hospital, and once again, everything seemed fine, except for an elevated blood pressure. But that could be written off to stress and not eating, and general grief.

At home, their conversation veered into the emotional when they were sitting on the couch. Belle (Martha Madison) wanted to make sure she supported her mom through this devastating moment in her life. She lost the love of her life, and Belle felt they didn’t talk about the loss enough.

On the one hand, it does seem sudden, but on the other hand, it also makes sense considering his storyline with the loan sharks has wrapped up.

During the Wednesday, July 23 episode, Doug said his goodbyes to Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) and Arianna “Ari” Horton (Marissa Reyes).

While his closure with Holly ended on a nice note, his closure with Ari ended with a slap!

Regardless, here’s hoping Doug returns at some point one day, as he was an interesting character.

“Days of Our Lives” has been renewed for two more seasons at Peacock, bringing the soap opera through its 63rd installment.

The long-running daytime drama, which follows the lives, romances and conflicts between the Horton, Brady, Dimera, Kiriakis and Hernandez families, aired on NBC from its 1965 premiere until 2022, when it shifted to streaming exclusively on Peacock.

“Days of Our Lives” was the longest-running show on NBC. In December, the series aired its 15,000th episode. Days of Our Lives, which has already taken home hundreds of Daytime Emmy Awards, is currently nominated for 13 more this year: Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Writing and Directing Team for a Drama Series, as well as individual acting nods for Eric Martsolf (Brady Black), Greg Rikaart (Leo Stark), Paul Telfer (Xander Kiriakis), Blake Berris (Everett Lynch), Linsey Godfrey (Sarah Horton), Emily O’Brien (Theresa Donovan), AnnaLynne McCord (Cat Greene), and Ashley Puzemis (Holly Jonas).
