A group of mysterious villains known as “The Alliance” sets a trap for the Taxpayer. They imprison him, torture him, and make plans to publicly crucify him. Local janitor Richard Randolph rounds up retired Superheroes, and hatches a plan to rescue the Taxpayer. The villains stage a public rally, where many citizens come to watch the Taxpayer’s crucifixion. The heroes invade the bad guy lair, and a large battle ensues. Various comedic and action-packed musical numbers are intertwined throughout the madness. In the midst of the big political debate and battle for mankind will the heroes save the day?

The highly-anticipated spoof, ‘American Rescue Squad,’ is unleashing its seemingly powerful superheroes in the comedy’s newly released images, poster and trailer. The assets for the upcoming satire have been unveiled before the film will have its world premiere tomorrow at the Northern Virginia International Film Festival at 2pm. ‘American Rescue Squad’ was directed by Elliot Diviney, who’s known for editing such television shows as ‘Lost’ and ‘Grey’s Anatomy.’ He co-wrote the script for the action thriller, which stars Tony D. While I personally love modern horror films and all of their deliciously gory bells and whistles, my heart belongs to the old black and white horror/sci-fi flicks of the 50s and 60s. If you're in the same camp as I am, you'd better listen up.
