Arshile Gorky nasceu o 15 de abril de 1904 na Armênia. É conhecido pelo seu trabalho em Ararat (2002). Foi casado com Agnes Magruder. Morreu o 21 de julho de 1948 em Connecticut, EUA.
Pioneer of abstract expressionism and favorite painter of Mikhail Vartanov who
shot films on his other 2 favorite Armenian painters: Carzou in 1984
and Minas in 1989 but not the Gorky film, as of yet.
