She was awarded the Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire in the 2025 King's New Years Honours List for her services to the Chemical Sciences and to Inclusion and Diversity. She is Professor and President of Wolfson College at Cambridge University in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England. She was also elected a Fellow of the Academy of Royal Sciences.
