Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage premiered in October 2024 and has aired its first seven episodes to date before going on mid-season hiatus through the holiday break. The sitcom, which serves as a sequel to Young Sheldon and, by default, also a prequel of The Big Bang Theory, centers on the life of eldest Cooper child Georgie (Montana Jordan) and his new role as a husband and father.

Taking place immediately following the events in Young Sheldon, Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage got off to a strong start, receiving positive reviews from critics and audiences, alike. While a second season renewal hasn’t yet been made official, fans can look forward to more Season 1 episodes soon.

Since its 2007 debut, The Big Bang Theory has evolved into an ever-expanding franchise. The small-screen success resulted in two prequel series, Young Sheldon and Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage. The former follows the story of quirky genius Sheldon Cooper navigating the world as a teenager, while the latter is its direct sequel that looks at Sheldon's older brother Georgie and the first (of many) marriages referenced in the original sitcom. Diane Delano, an American actress best known for her roles in “Northern Exposure” and “The Wicker Man,” has died. She was 67.

Delano died on Friday night after a battle with a brief illness, according to her rep.

Delano appeared as Officer Barbara Semanski in 12 episodes of the CBS sitcom “Northern Exposure” and played the role of Sister Beech in the 2006 remake of “The Wicker Man.”

Her other notable credits include shows like “Popular,” where she played Roberta “Bobbi” Glass, and “Days of Our Lives,” where she played Agent Hilda, an FBI operative tasked with protecting Sami Brady. Her film credits include “Miracle Mile,” “The Ladykillers,” “A Mighty Wind” and “Out of These Rooms.”

Delano also lent her voice to a number of animated projects, such as “Batman: The Brave and the Bold,” “Infinity Train,” “Teen Titans” and “Rugrats.”
