The action thriller 'Bloodline' is seeking worldwide distribution at the Cannes Film Festival.The movie has been co-directed by Jojo George and the production company Temple Capital Partners and is set to premiere at Cannes on Wednesday (15.05.24) as a global distribution deal is sought.The Bashford Twins are co-producing the picture – which has been predominantly filmed in Kerala, India, and promises to captivate audiences with its gripping storylines.The pair have familial ties to India and are culturally sensitive to Britain's Colonial past in the country.'Bloodline' centres on the journey made by Bella (Adrianna Edwards), a determined character who is on a quest to rescue her sister Alice, who has been lured into the forests of modern India by an Ancient curse.During a film that unfolds through adrenaline-pumping chases, sword fights and martial arts showdowns, Bella discovers her connection to an ancient bloodline, hidden treasure and a centuries-old curse.

Mollywood is gearing up for one of the most awaited films of the year, Bandra, starring Dileep and Tamanna Bhatia in the lead roles. The film is directed by Arun Gopy, who made his debut with the blockbuster Ramaleela, which also featured Dileep in a political thriller. Malayalam actor Dileep, who is known for his versatile roles and comic timing, has announced the title of his upcoming film, tentatively called D148. The film, directed by Ratheesh Reghunandan, who made his debut with the critically acclaimed Udal, is titled Thankamani. The title was revealed with a motion poster that showed some intriguing elements of night, police, and thief.

The teaser of the Malayalam film ‘Kasargold’, which was released recently is laced with psychedelic themes and elements. The teaser displays a vibrant and colourful vibe without revealing any aspects of the story.

The film stars Asif Ali, Sunny Wayne, Vinayakan, Malavika Sreenath, and Sreeranjini Nair.

The film has been directed by Mridul Nair, and is his second collaboration with Asif Ali, following their successful debut film ‘B-Tech’.

Mridul said: “We have a special rapport with each other”. The film was originally planned during the second Covid-19 lockdown, but shooting such a large-scale production was not feasible due to the restrictions imposed by the pandemic.

The director said: “Fortunately, we had the opportunity to join hands with Saregama, which gave a new lease of life to the project.”

The director also highlighted the action sequences choreographed by popular stunt masters like Supreme Sundar, Billa Jagan, and Mafia Sasi, as another standout feature of the movie.

According to trade reports, the film has collected Rs 5.11 crore at the Kerala box office on day one and this is a new record! And the film went on to collect Rs 10 crore during the three-day long Christmas weekend run. Royal Cinemas, the film’s producers, have now confirmed that Masterpiece has joined the coveted Rs 40 crore club. Putting it out on their Facebook page, the producers’ statement read, “Happy to share with you all, our first venture #Masterpiece has done a business of 40cr till now, playing over 13,000 shows #Worldwide. Masterpiece is running at 103 screens and is by far a successful venture for us, which even broke the day one records and show count playing incredible number of late night shows too.” Directed by Ajai Vasudev, Mammootty plays a cop in this action thriller. According to trade reports, the film is still running to packed houses in about 103 screens. This Mammootty starrer is huge hit in the UAE as well with it being screened in 68 locations there.
